We visited here while touring several wineries on the Niagara Wine Trail. Their web site notes that the tasting room is in what was formerly Lockport's City Hall, and the building is indeed a classic building that is worth seeing. As we learned when arriving, the building is also literally right next to the locks for the Erie Canal in downtown Lockport. We saw the locks open and close during our visit that day. Like many of the wineries in the area, Flight of Five does a lot of sweet and off-dry wines. But as I prefer dry wines, I did the dry wine tasting flight, which included Flight of Five's two dry wines and three dry wines from other area wineries. The dry Flight of Five cayuga white (Lock 68) was surprisingly good, so I bought a bottle. Their dry red (Lock 67) was not bad but not my style. Of the three wines from other area wineries, I liked the Leonard Oakes dry riesling the most, which was also a surprise since I am not a big riesling drinker. I give this place four stars based only on the wine, not the staff, the building, or the location, as all of those were great. If you are in Lockport, the place is unquestionably worth a visit.

Went to Flight of Five Winery to sample their wonderful wine and entertainment. Click on the website icon at the top of this page and open the Event Calendar.Saw local talent tonight. The Lake Plains Players performed songs from the 1900s. Actually, this winery was a perfect venue. While you are there, order a "flight' of wine to sample. Awesome!

Located just across the canal from the Erie Canal Discovery Center, in an historic building (old town hall), this small winery makes very good wines from grapes they don't produce but buy from local producers in the Buffalo-Niagara region. You can taste their 5 signature wines for a small charge. You can also taste other wines from the Niagara region. The place is welcoming and the wines affordables.I recommend you make a stop here when visiting Lockport.

We went to see what the Flight of Five looked like in winter - drained. So we decided to visit the Old City Hall which contains a tea room in front and a winery in back. Our visit to the winery was very enjoyable. The decor was pleasant, the wines were delicious, and the staff was cheerful and helpful. We tried the dessert wine tasting for $8 Five types were served in a cascade. Prices of the wines seemed very reasonable We enjoyed our visit and plan on going back.. (No fee to get in of course) Food is available at the tea room but we are saving that for our next visit to Lockport.
