In the little park situated between Water Street Landing and The Silo, in Lewiston, New York is a statue commemorating the Underground Railroad. Both historical and fictional personages are depicted. Since Lewiston was one of the final stops on the Railroad it is fitting that this monument, based on the book "Freedom Crossing" (which takes place in Lewiston), should be located there in view of Canada, the final destination. If you cannot visit in person you might wish to check out the webcam site. http://historiclewiston.org/freedomcrossingwebcam.html
