We were going stir crazy while visiting relatives in Buffalo and wanted our 3yo to be able to not only burn energy, but also get a little social interaction with kids his own age. This place came up as one of the top 10 indoor places for kids in/ near Buffalo so we decided to give it a whirl!First - it's very inexpensive. $5 per person (over 12 mos). The biggest con is it can be a little hard to find, as it's in an office park-type and it's kind of in the middle of the building. Just follow the signs!Once inside, my son's eyes lit up! It's just a giant room, but it had several large and colorful stations all over the place. In general it seemed geared towards younger kids (2-6) but I did see a couple of older boys (8-10) playing in the building section. The areas included: farm (where you could "pick" produce), fishing (fish from a boat with magnets and then weigh them at the market), various ramps for racing balls, cars (and you can build your own track), building (complete with tool kits and a giant "lincoln log-esque" set), milk a cow, shopping, cooking, etc. They were having a special dairy day with a craft for making cow ears and even different types of cheeses for the kids to sample. They also have a snack area so you could bring your own food.Is this the most pristine/ advanced children's museum I've ever seen? No. Some of the stations are a little wonky. But for $5, I felt like we got WAY more than we paid for. We spent 3 hours there, only got to half of the areas and my son absolutely loved it which is the important part. Even our infant was entertained watching all of the colors and kids. In general the place is colorful and inviting, not too overwhelming for most kids and even on a busy day didn't seem crazy crowded.Definitely a great indoor activity for kids near Buffalo.

A lot of their exhibits are broken or falling apart. We went on a day where they had activities going on and it seemed very unorganized.

I love love love this place. It's more than just an inside play park. This place actually encourages kids to learn through play. It fosters creativity and imagination. I wish there were more places like this. It's appropriate for younger children maybe up to age 6 max. The prices were so reasonable.

After reading the reviews of EAM I thought it would be worth a visit with our 15 month old daughter as she loves to explore...and more !!On first impression I was surprised when it was in essentially an industrial unit, after getting lost inside the corridors we walked in and it wasn't what I expected..it really looks like a large daycare room...or a school classroom, the exhibits are certainly fun, but it does have a "cheap" feeling to it, which ironically enough it is...$5 per person is a good inexpensive charge ( although I was a little surprised to find that its only under 1 year olds that get in free..most places don't charge children admission under 2 !!We spent around 90 minutes there so for the time spent the value is really good, but we visited the national museum of play recently and in my opinion its worth the extra $10 per person to go there ( especially as under 2's get in free there ) as there is much more to do Fun, cheap but less cheerful than I expected !

So many things for a young child to experience. From building their own little house to playing different musical instruments. A true fun day can be had here.

This children's museum is small, but filled with fun activities for kids. It's cheap ($5/per person) and the kids love to spend the afternoon there. It is best for kids under 8, but the older kids might learn something, too. Birthday parties are affordable here also. There is no food or drink in the main area, but there is an area to bring snacks or lunch. There is also an art room for kids to create masterpieces in. Overall, it is not like a huge children's museum but a nice place to take the kids for a couple of hours.

This place is awesome. We have been members for several years and our children love it. The best ages are 3-8. Older kids get bored easily. I appreciate the small size because kids tend to run and in this museum, even when they take off, they won't be going very far! I just wish they had restrooms in the actual museum because it's kind of a pain to drag all the children down the hall when one of them as to use the bathroom.
