You want cheese, they got cheese! Cheese from all over the world (including right here in Cuba, NY). They also have lots of candies and sweets, various cheese-related gifts, home-made sauces and spreads; all kinds of neat stuff. We brought home some fancy cheeses for our family at Thanksgiving, as well as some salt-rising bread---which was so delicious that I'm 99% sure there won't be any left for the holidays.Pro-tip: For the ultimate Cuba Cheese experience, be sure to check out the Cuba Cheese Museum, just down the road from here! (Inside the Palmer Opera House.) Their hours are pretty weird (I think only Friday and Saturday), so be sure to call in advance to make sure they'll be open.

Great prices, great buys, and some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered, both The Cuba Cheese Shoppe (located square in the middle of town, past McDonalds) and Mac's Meats (a deli in the small plaza next to the aforementioned Mc'D's) are fantastic places to shop, either for a gift for family or friends, or a treat for yourself. I highly recommend the Extra Sharpe from The Cheese Shop, and Mac's Meat Sticks from the butcher- you shan't be disappointed.

Wow, 350 types of cheese in one, friendly store. You cannot complain at all, if you love cheese. You can get it here. What a find. I wish they were near my home, not 370 miles away. lol.If you're near Cuba, NY, put it on your shopping list.Cheers! ---- Ken

We have sampled many good cheeses over the years, and a stop at the Cuba Cheese Shoppe was a very good time. The store was loaded with cheeses, fresh baked goods, crackers, jams, noodles, souvenir gifts and more.I especially liked the purchase of a 2 and 1/2 pound block of cheese that was nicely packaged and priced at $10.95. What a great deal!We had never heard of this store, and found it only because of a small billboard along route 86.Cute store, nice prices and a highly recommended stop along the way if traveling in southern NYS.

Best by far price-wise for the best tasting New York Cheddar Cheese. Many international cheeses to choose from also...I love cheese. Please at least stop and try the Cuba brand New York Sharp & Extra Sharp Cheddar and buy at least a pound of each. Don't forget some cheese curds...my choice the garlic cheese curds. Slice the cheddar and to it with some of your favorite jam...mine is fig. A worth-while "leg stretch"... and extremely nice addition to some of the wine of the Fingerlakes.

This is a great place to stop and take a break when traveling interstate 86 and they have a great selection of cheese. Many samples are available and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Don't pass up the cheese curds.
