Lots of great trails through the woods to explore. Very flat, not difficult at all but lots of small wildlife to see.

we used to go here when we lived in Cheektowaga. Great park for kids and adults alike. It is safe to walk from across the street where we lived.

The park is a real treasure, with lots of multi-season, all-weather trails. Saw lots of wildlife, including deer and faun, cardinals, cheeky little chickadees, jays, woodpeckers, flickers, and woodchuck, not to mention squirrels and chipmunk. I hope that the local residents will do a better job of caring for it - noticed a fair amount of trash discarded on the trails, people riding bikes where they are prohibited, and similar bad behavior. And darn fools smoking on the paths - yuck!I visited the park nearly every weekend from June through October 2014.

This park is adjacent to Reinstein Woods (though, you have to enter on different streets/sides), but has some different habitats. More marsh and meadow areas and areas of smaller/different trees. The trails are well marked and mostly flat. They aren't too wide, but they are even and topped with pea gravel, so you can enjoy looking around rather than down at your feet. There are numerous boardwalks over swampy sections. The trails here are mostly shortish (the guide gives distances on feet, can't remember if this is also on the large central sign showing the trails). I think there is one trail that might be a mile. When we went today we saw deer and the usual assortment of squirrels/birds/geese/etc. One trail runs along Cayuga Creek. Along with being easy-to-walk, the trails have plentiful benches interspersed throughout. The park is probably more popular for its recreation areas such as basketball courts, street hockey court, baseball fields, really nice playground(s), picnic areas with grills and shelters, etc. Today the baseball fields were covered in geese and, therefore, goose poop. Maybe they chase the geese away during the season...I have no idea. There are restrooms and also portapotties scattered about near the various playing fields. I could be wrong, but I don't think dogs are allowed. We did not take it, but I saw on the map that there is a trail that is labeled handicap accessible. I would think that with a strong pusher, some of the other trails are flat and hard-packed enough to offer some handicap access as well.

This is a wonderful place to visit with children of any age. The trails are easy to walk and there are plenty of places to stop and sit. You can also see several species of bird, deer and small mammals. The trails are not really long, however one trail connects to another, so it can get confusing. The names of the trails are well labeled, but I found that they did not have maps, so I was not sure which trail to take to get back to my car. It did not take too long to walk to a trail that ended at the parking area.

A great place to go to encounter nature! Always tons of paths to walk and usually deer are out and about. Very clean and playgrounds are great for kids!

Ok, most of the locals know this park, but if you happen to be from out of town and are here on a nice day, you should take a trip to this park. There are miles of trails and boardwalks though the woods. There is a major creek, Cayuga Creek, that runs along some of the trails. The paths are well maintained by the Cheektowaga Conservation Crew. There are shelters available for rent and sports fields, including baseball, football, tennis, rollerhockey, basketball and even bocce ball. The best part of this park is the wild life. There are deer everywhere. Also turkey, beavers and all sorts of birds. The birds will eat right out of your hand if you are still enough. If you have time to kill, head down to Losson Park and enjoy nature at it's best.
