We were the non skiers of the our group and decided on a visit to the Windham Vineyard and Winery. Doug, the owner was very gracious and friendly and we enjoyed his story of how his winery came to be. Pijou his cute little dog was our friendly greeter and made us feel right at home. We tasted several different wines and enjoyed the variety of wines offered. Unfortunately, we didn't get to taste the ice wine, but enjoyed learning about it. Would definitely visit again. Thanks Doug for your hospitality!!!

This was the best time of our ski vacation. For someone who this was the first time skiing, it was a great way to end the day. Doug was a great host and we would go back a million times just to hang with him and enjoy his wine. we really enjoyed the whole experience of the winery and would recommend it to anyone who is in the area overnight! We ended up going to a restaurant that Doug recommended and drank his wine there as well as enjoyed the food! We cannot say enough great things about this winery!

My husband and I have been visitng Windham for the past 14 years....earlier in 2014 we stumbled upon the Windham Vineyard and Winery and were graciously welcomed by owner Doug. We had the most entertaining visit with Doug and had some terrific wine samplings, as well as interesting conversation about Doug's businesses, as well as his infant twins, Maggie and Tom!Last week for the extended Thanksgiving holiday, we visited the winery once again. It truly felt like visiting old friends....warm and friendly reception, great conversation, excellent wine, and we got to meet Tom and Maggie...what a treat!MUST try the Ice Wine....absolutely delectable, and a gold medal winner too!Looking forward to our next visit! Thanks Doug!!!

After a mix up with our reservations in Lake George we ended up in Windham at Cuomo's Cove with no knowledge of the area. We came across this amazing little vineyard. We stayed a while, tasted a number of wonderful wines and even bought a few. I can't wait to go back.

My husband and I were out for an afternoon drive and I looked for Things to do in Windham. The winery popped up so we decided to give it a try. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and talk with Doug the owner. He is very knowledgable about his grapes and his wines are representative. We were unable to buy some of the wines we tried, but did come away with a blended Chardonay, Oakes just the way we like it. We will be going back when we know the Malbec is ready for sale!

We've been to the finger lakes and the wines at Windham were better than any we had up there. When we arrived on a rainy Saturday, we were the only ones there, so Doug and his dog invited us to the back operation so that he could crush grapes and chat it up while we did our tastings. All 5 of the wines we tasted were great, and the Award winning ice wine was amazing! How he does it all, and so well, I'm not sure but he's got a winning combination! He mentioned that he even sells to Wolfgang's among other places in the city. I would highly recommend stopping for a tasting (generous pours too!) and you won't leave empty handed!

We went to the winery today and had a wonderful time in the tasting room. Doug, the owner was very engaging and gave a great insight into the winemaking process. In addition, his wines tasted great! A definite way to spend a nice autumn day.

We stumbled upon this winery on a rainy Saturday while driving through to windham. Needless to say we had such a good time we never even made it to town!! When we arrived the owner was outside preparing a load of grapes he had taken in the day before. He welcomed my boyfriend and I back and we watched the process, had fresh grape juice right out of the buckets and then went inside for a tasting. 1 other couple and some friends also came in and we all tasted together. This really was a personal and incredible experience. The owner is amazing and gave us a first class experience. He told us his story, how he came about owning the winery and we tasted several wines. His passion and enthusiasm were so inspiring and the wine was great. This place will only continue to get better as he grows his business and gets his vines going as well (he had only owned the vineyard for 1 1/2 yrs). We bought 5 bottles and drank 3 that night at our friends farm dinner. I will definitely go back each time I'm in the area and highly recommend as a must do if your in the windham area!! A must do if you love wine and a great way to support local business!

Went to the Windham Winery recently not really knowing what to expect... what we got was a wonderful time.... Doug (the owner) is SO personable and friendly... his wines are FABULOUS (we left with several bottles) He made us feel like part of the family and we can't wait to go back. The ice wine is THE BEST I have ever tasted. Again, one of the best days ever and I come from Long Island and have a lot of vineyards at my disposal but I thought Windham was one of the best ever!!! We will be back!!!

This was a great experience. The hubby and I visited today and we couldn't be happier. Doug (the owner) was so friendly and his wine was amazing. We tasted several wines and left with the Diamond wine and the Riesling ice wine. The ice wine was the best ever. Doug was great to sit and chat with and creating a relaxing and enjoyable environment. After the tasting, the hubby and I sat on a the nice outside deck to enjoy the view and savor the experience. This is a must-do experience and we will definitely go back!!

By trusting in our GPS, we eventually made it to the glorious Windham Winery. Doug, the chatty, entertaining owner, made every group in the winery feel special as he poured our wine and educated us about its origins. Our family of 5 sat at the bar with Doug, but there are also a variety of comfortable couch seating areas, and an outdoor deck in the good weather that overlooks the grape vines. The tastings were generous, and we had to have a family huddle to figure out which wines to purchase since we enjoyed them all. Thanks, Doug, for a truly enjoyable (and delicious!) afternoon!

This is a "must do" attraction in the Northern Catskills. The winery opened under new ownership just this year. The place looks great and owner Doug has a solid plan to prosper the business. The wines are terrific. Just follow the GPS and you'll get there. But prepare yourself, you might not want to leave!
