I love this place. It's been about twelve years since I found this wonderful nursery which feels like a retreat, and as other reviewers have said, it's a low stress, calming experience just walking around there. You'll find flowers and plants that you won't find other places, and garden statuary and little giftie things that are elegant and unique. The staff is super knowledgable. There's a lot of shade, and little sheds to visit. It's off the beaten path, your children can explore there safely, eat at little picnic tables and have a good old fashioned time. It feels very 1940s. Not that I was alive then, but my mother was! I imagine it would be crowded on and around the spring/summer holidays, but it has always been moderate when I have visited. Go and experience it.

What a great treat for Mom. A bucolic setting and lots to choose from. A little crowded, so be patient.

The sheer variety of plants and trees for sale in this homey, sanguine environment is tremendous. The staff are very knowledgeable and know exactly where everything is.There is also a huge grassy area with many picnic tables near a big body of water where you can relax and play.I would highly recommend a trip out there if you want plants, or if you want a pretty place to take friends and family to enjoy.

This is a beautiful nursery that allows and even encourages the public to come walk the grounds, picnic, even paint on the beautiful grounds. It's serene. There really is no pressure to make a purchase. Great place to get landscaping ideas. The various gardens and plants are labelled. As enjoyable as any other botanical garden. I've gone for years in the spring and summer. Nice place to meet friends for a chatty picnic.
