We were driving westward along Highway 70 after visiting the beautiful towns of Vail and Aspen, looking for somewhere to park the RV for the evening. The landscape changed dramatically, as Highway 70 follows the contours of the mighty Colorado River, going through deep gorges and becoming increasingly arid. A Google search revealed an RV park at Glenwood Springs, which turned out to be a great place to park for the night, surrounded by soaring mountains. The RV owners told us about the No Name Bar and Grill, which is located at the bottom of the hill, right on the Colorado River, which at this time of year (spring) was in full flow with snow melt. The Bar and Grill has a huge deck from which you can enjoy the landscape - with seating options at either a table or the bar (now that is unique in the middle of no-where!).The bar and wait staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We enjoyed some pre-dinner cocktails basking in the late afternoon sun, before sampling what turned out to be a surprisingly good menu.Do yourself a favour and make a stop here if you are journeying along the 70!
