Hi, gosh what kind words! I really enjoyed riding with you all and we did cover some country! Got some sunshine and you all got to try out some rain gear too! We are so blessed with beautiful country and good horses to see it! The best part is being with people that have the love of the back country and horses in common! I sincerely hope you will be out again, we just scratched the surface!

We reserved a sleigh ride for 10 people for the day before Christmas. We appreciated that they were working on that day. We had two sleighs. The ride was beautiful. A trail around Lake Haviland was spectacular. Just long enough. While we waited for our time slot there was small packages of Smores' to roast around the fire. They provide sing-a-long books with popular Christmas Caroles. the place was clean and run professionally. Easy to get to from either Durango or the ski resort. Right off the highway. Nice drivers and very knowledgeable about the local area. It made our Christmas special!

When we decided to make our trip to Durango, CO for Christmas, the one activity I requested was a sleigh ride. The staff was very friendly and kind. The location is easy to find. I want to go again!

We LOVED the sleigh ride at Rapp Corral! It was a beautiful January day with fresh covered snow. $90 for a family of 3 hour long ride. Some of the best money we have ever spent. This is a MUST do for families or couples or really anyone! Call ahead and make reservations. During the winter they do sleigh rides. Make a reservation if you want to plan to go around Christmas or New Years as this three week period is busy for them. They also over horseback rides during the summer; we plan to come back and do this another time. It's located on US Hwy 550; if your are driving to Purgatory Ski Resort, you can't miss it on the right side of the road. The lady that owns this lives on the property and has owned it since 1981. MUST DO!

Had a great time riding on the trail in Summer, 2014. Our guide just took our family, which was wonderful because she was knowledgeable and patient with us. We did the cave trail ride and it was very fun. However, it was a bit scary if you are an inexperienced rider. The climb to the cave was tough, but our guide led us well and held my daughter's hand the whole time (as I was keeping myself steady). The horses were completely sure-footed and all was well, however, being from Texas, the only riding we had done was on flat land. The trail was hilly but had amazing views.

The summer trail rides are outstanding. I have gone several times on the hour and two hour rides with my grand children and my grand daughter has done the cave ride on her own a couple of times. The wranglers are friendly, competent and pay attention to the needs of all of their guests. The scenery is gorgeous. The horses are well-trained and in great shape. In the winter, try the sled ride. Be sure to make reservations, Rapp fills up several days in advance.

We booked a 2 hour ride. Our wrangler Tarren (sorry hope I spelled you name right) was awesome. The ride was a lot of fun, when we do get back there again we'll definitely do at least the half day ride. Overall it was well worth the money and I'd recommend it to anyone!

My sister and 2 kids aged 6 and 9 enjoyed the trail ride and cave hike with our guide Trish. She was amazing with the kids and actually led my daughter who is 6 on the way to the cave since she had never ridden a horse before. She held onto a rope that was attached to her horse. On the way back, Trish felt confident that my daughter was ready to ride on her own and she did great. The trails are not simple meadow trails but rocky and sometimes steep. That did not bother any of us but if you are nervous on a horse you might not want to do the cave ride. Trish took us into the cave with headlamps and we were able to explore a little. We loved seeing the names of people etched into the rock…some from the 1800's. Not for the claustrophobic or for people who have knee issues since the hike was rather short but steep. The ride took about 2 hours total and it had rained the day before and was a little muddy. Again, we did not mind. They had actually cancelled our original ride because of the rain but were able to fit us in the next morning. The horses were perfect for each of us and Trish took some photos of our group before we left. It was one of the highlights of my children's vacation. Thank you for a great experience!

This was the highlight of our Colorado road trip from Texas. My wife and I did the 4.5 hr Hermosa Cliffs horseback trek. We couldn't have been more pleased. The views and ride were the best we have been on, and we have been on some great ones. The ascent and descent were challenging, but well worth it. Ann was a great trail leader and guide. Can't wait to go back and do another one!

To be honest, my wife and I didm;t go, but we sent our two college-age daughters on a 3-hour tour (no Gilligan; Island here…) They are VERY experienced horse people (lots of English jumpy-stuff back home), and when on a vacation, always take a horse ride somewhere, so they have a lot of experience on guided horse rides. They came back beaming from ear to ear on this. Their guide, Faith, did a superb job of just becoming fast friends, and then asking what sort of off-horse experience they had in terms of hiking, rock climbing, etc, as she then lead them to mines and caves where they could get off and explore. We saw tons of great pictures from their ride. So, from the point of view of parents (we don't ride as we're both allergic to horse, go figure…) Rapp gets an overwhelming A+++++

My 12 yrs old daughters first time horseback riding and everything was great. Julie took care of the entire group and the ride was scenic and hike down to the cave interesting. Even a little rain didn't dampen the fun..Thanks all.

Guide Faith took my family on one of the best trail rides I've ever experienced. Friendly and professional staff at Rapp were so easy to work with. We were rained out the first day but they were able to re-schedule with no problems.Horses were well cared for, the guide (Faith) was attentive and knowledgeable, and the beauty of the trail just cannot be beat!I'd definitely go on the same ride again.

We found Rapp Corral when booking the Durango & Silverton trip that combined a train and horse riding day trip. We can't say enough good things about the ranch, the staff, the horses and the experience. We did the cave visit trail and saw a 10 point buck on the ride! Tymbree was our wrangler. Super knowledgable, friendly and informative. She was a great teacher to our 10 year old niece. Anne the owner could not have been more friendly and made all her guests feel so welcome. Highly recommend and so glad Rapp Corral was a part of our CO vacation! Thanks Rapp Corral for everything!

My family and I took a 2 hour trail ride and we had a great time! Faith was our guide and she was wonderful!! The horses were beautiful and very calm. We rode through the mountain trails and stopped for a little while to walk into a mountain cave. Overall a really fun experience!
