We decided we would walk to the visitors center along the walking path from town, (which is great by the way). From the map looks as if they connect, NO so we had to walk back out to the highway and back down the highway to got there at 3pm, just missed it, shuts at 3 on Saturdays and closed on Sunday, so neither walker or weekend friendly!
