Wow! Heard that so many times on this hike from young and old. We were 8 hikers in all and every single one of us just took in the views with our mouths wide open. The hike wasn't terribly difficult and the rewards were endless. The views down valley were spectacular and at the time of our hike, the wildflowers were superb. I have never seen so many wildflowers or the many different varieties - all in one location! This is a MUST hike or bike if you are in the Crested Butte area.

This is one of my favorite mountain bike rides of all time! It does have a challenging desent, especially if you ride down to Gothic side (versus riding up from Gothic). However, I found it to be suitable for intermediate riders as long as you walk a few of the more techincal sections.

if you're into mountain biking, this is one of the big ones. It takes you up over from Washington Gulch into the East River valley just above Gothic. It's technical and often amongst elk and other wild animals.

Great views. Not too tough on old codgers. My wife wished it was a longer hike. you can extend it down to Gothic Road, but it's a tough climb all the way back up.

This trail starts near the end of Washington Gulch road. The trail climbs slowly for a mile or so to an overlook that is one of the prettiest in Colorado. It is not difficult so even seniors can make it to the top without problems. The view from the top looks across the Gothic Valley toward the Maroon Bells Wilderness. If you continue down the other side to Gothic you will need a return shuttle. Otherwise, if you don't have two cars, return back to the trailhead.

This is the best trail I've ever been to. I'm going back this summer
