Let me start off by saying the venue is absolutely gorgeous. The scenery outside is breath taking and would be perfect for an outdoor wedding ceremony. I was the MOH in my best friend's wedding who recently just hosted her ceremony outdoors and reception indoors. Again, perfect venue but the service is a joke. Before I dive into the bad, let me go ahead with the good- Kurt the bartender was AMAZING, not enough words can describe how helpful he was in absence of the wedding coordinator Bree, who was supposed to arrive when us ladies did to set up (We arrived at 9am, I think she showed up at 1pm for a 2pm wedding). The area outside had not been set up for the ceremony, so Kurt called people in just to help move chairs and rearrange. He also checked on us to make sure we didn't need anything and everything was ok.. (Also kept the coffee pot full :) ) I don't think we would have made our 2pm deadline without Kurt. Also to the ladies setting up for the ceremony were a tremendous help! I will not name all of the bad things that happened that day, or call out names at this property, but I mean when I say the only good thing about this place is the scenery. Go for pictures! I would not recommend a full service wedding here.

I don't golf.My husband and I go for there beer and wine and good food. We tend to run into our neigbors there. Can't beat the price for lunch or dinner during their open dates. Friendly staff. I have heard that it is a difficult course....always plenty of people playing. They have a lot of weddings there.

We just want to thank Becky and all of the staff at Shining Mountain for making our daughter and son-in-laws wedding perfect!!! We were so pleased with the way everything turned out and Becky was absolutely wonderful!!! She accommodated for every one of our wishes and even went above and beyond to make the day that much more special! We would recommend Shining Mountain to everyone for their wedding or special occasion!Eugene and Stephanie Quintana

Shining Mountain is a very challenging, extremely scenic mountain course. It is a casual and very inexpensive course, never crowded. Fairways are narrow, the rough is brutal. Highly enjoyable golf course, much different from the city parkland-style courses. The scenery alone is worth a day in the sunshine. The club itself has come a long way, and they do a very good job in a casual, rustic mountain setting. Most enjoyable.

Love this course. It is better to be short and in the fairway than long and not being able to find your ball.

We had an outdoor wedding that ran flawlessly. Becky did a great job ensuring that everything for our wedding was set up with no issues. We hardly knew she was there, everything flowed perfectly. We never had to wait for anything and we were treated as if we were the only people at the golf club that day. Would DEFINITELY recommend this venue to anyone needing a place to get married in the Colorado Springs Area, or just looking for a great place to play golf. The course is amazingly beautiful and completely picturesque!
