Someplace every parent should take their kids to learn about what makes our country exceptional. Absolutely awe inspiring. And the volunteers are wonderful and very knowledgeable.

This is the home of pictures of all Medal of Honor recipients in America. It is really neat to walk around and read what each of them have to say about being "hero." Most of them don't accept that title, but they are.

Free to the public. A place that will change you. It will give you a new appreciation and gratitude to those that gave us our freedoms.

Everyone should see this. I wish the President would go and read EVERY quote. Medal of Honor recipients from the entire country are honored there with a photo and a quote reminding us of the freedom and opportunity they fought for. I bought the book so I could bring it home with me and keep it on my coffee table to inspire visitors.

The beam from the Twin Towers always points towards home just outside the entrance to the Center for American Values. This is not an attraction, it is a shrine. Just walking along the Pueblo River Walk, you could miss this deeply meaningful hall of heroes. Don't just rush through, take your time and absorb the stories and leave prouder to be an American!

This place was sobering but in a good way. We took our 13-year old twin sons, who don't get a lot of exposure to war heroes, and they were memorized. It was a great way to portray these heroes-the bravest and boldest of them. There were only 3,500 Purple Hearts ever awarded, and this presentation gives credit to each and every one of them. It puts a story behind each of them. Make sure you ask to see the video and bring along some Kleenex!

I had the pleasure of attending multiple events at the Center for American Values. The Center is a museum / honor hall to recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor. Portraits adorn the walls of the Center and each has a story that is told on a walking tour (with an interactive iPad). I had the pleasure of seeing the unveiling of the portrait of CMOH (Congressional Medal of Honor) recipient Sgt. Leroy Petry. In attendance, were CMOH recipients Drew Dix and James Taylor. It was such an honor to be photographed with two American heroes such as these -- such humble men.I have since shared the Center with friends - veterans and non-veterans - they are brought to tears from the stories of sacrifice and humbled by the heroism showcased. It is the most significant CMOH tribute/museum anywhere outside the Pentagon. It is a must see.
