Took my 2 nieces and 2 nephews to action karting just today. Called amber and she said to come out and she would honor our groupon even for a repeat ride. We showed up and it was easy to find. Singed in and then had our safety meeting where we learned the rules of the track - start, slow down, warning, help, and the dreaded BLACK flag.... After our safety session, we headed inside wear the staff got our small group suited up in the appropriate safety gear. A short wait for the current riders to finish and we were waved onto the track to our waiting carts. After a very brief wait to get everyone seated, we were on our way. A wave of the flag at the starting line and we we wizzing around the track at lightning speed. 10 wonderful laps later we pulled in to the pits and could hardly wait to get back to pay for another 10 laps. IT IS THAT GOOD!!!!!!!!! If you want fun, adrenalin, and a good time, go see action karting, you will walk away with a smile that you will keep for the entire day!!!!

Great safe experience for kids 10 and up----staff is extremely helpful. Lots of fun! A bit difficult to find---go into "Bandimere" parking lot 4.

Action Karting has a great setup for kids of all ages. They have small/slow carts for small children and large/fast carts for larger kids and adults. And they are fast. These are real gas powered go carts. The shop is well organized and the people are always friendly. The garage is adjacent to the shop and you feel like you are in the middle of things, not an outsider just showing up for a ride. It's great. You dress in a fire suit, gloves, helmet, visor, and neck brace. These are all for safety in case any debris gets kicked up or you end up in a collision. The track is laid out beautifully. Many turns of different directions and degrees as well as some straightaways. They go over safety and signals before you start. You do ten laps of the track per session and the middle 8 are timed. You get all sorts of stats for your run and a comparison to everyone else running with you. All in all, it's very high on my list of fun activities with my teenage son.

Want to drive in the Indy 500? This experience shows what it might be like. Each driver is given an introductory lesson on safety, the meaning of the various flags, and hand signals. They are then given full protective gear, including full body suit, helmet, neck brace and gloves. Finally they are assigned a racecar. At the signal, two cars at a time take off to race 10 laps around an obstacle track. Racers are timed and at the end are given a sheet with their statistics (fastest time, how they compared to others racing with them, etc.) Speeds can be up to about 55 mph. I was very impressed with how safety is emphasized.I brought an 11 year old, but we saw people there from about 8 to over 50 years of age. There are bleachers to sit and watch the racers if you don't want to race. I had a groupon which brought the cost down. I will definitely go back! It would be a perfect place for a teen party.

This track is open year round and they provide suits, helmets, and gloves as well as the Karts. They have more of a road race course instead of the typical ovals but their track is longer than their competitors. It is available for company party's or for groups. If you are good enough they have faster karts once you prove you can handle them by the times you turn in with the normal karts. You receive a printout showing your lap times for each lap. This facility is handicap accessible as there is no upstairs. They have snacks and drinks available for purchase but no alcohol for safety reasons. There are karts especially for kids as well. It can be a great time for the whole family.
