This is vey small intimate theater which I guess only seats about 70 to 75 people for each performance. But they bring in talented actors and actresses from all over the nation, and they put on challenging plays, musicals, and comedies which are all worth attending. A little wine during intermission makes for a great evening.

Wonderful small theater with professional cast. Attended in December and found the theater walkable from my hotel and comfortable restaurants and hosting a friendly group of Dillon's community.

This very small and intimate theater appeared to be an interesting place to see a show. The cast was talented and hard-working and put on a great performance. However, one should be forewarned that they are not miked Patrons are told at the very last minute that the a/c will be shut off to prevent fan noise drowning out the dialogue. By intermission, the small closed-in theater became a sweat box. We found ourselves fighting to keep awake, despite the upbeat dialogue and music. There are only 2 rows in the theater and if you sit on the back row, there is less than adequate leg room for an average person. Because of the stifling heat and cramped seating , we opted to skip the second act. This was disappointing as the show was a favorite of ours and the cast deserved our undivided attention. Sadly, the discomfort outweighed the pleasure derived from the show. It's unfortunate, but I will not be returning unless they mic the cast and leave the a/c on, or find a way to cool the theatre during the performance.

just saw Orphans It will run another week. Wonderful show! Next up are Big River and Sweet Charity in rep, This is one of best theatre companies in CO. They recently became an equity theatre. For orphans two of the three actors are from NYC. The theatre seats about 50 people this theatre provides a wonderful up close and personal theatre experience

You won't go wrong attending any of the productions at the Lake Dillon Theater. The shows are very professional, with lots of local and professional talent, and a great diversity of shows. I have enjoyed everything I have ever been to here.

My wife and I had a terrific New Year's Eve experience at the Lake Dillon Theatre Company. It was their "first annual" New Year's Eve Event and featured a Cabaret, with favorites Jonathan Parks, musical director, and Selah Grace, Singer/Actor. A full dinner was catered by Bill Gilchrist, there was an open wine bar and lots of champagne. Altogether a very enjoyable way to celebrate the New Year.

Live theater in a unique and intimate environment. Excellent programs throughout community including theater workshops for kids!

I have done everything I want to do three times. However, live theater has and will be my #3 activity ad infinitum. A few of the professional young actors at Lake Dillon will, in the near future, be seen in broadcast media, guaranteed. Bill and Melinda Gates gave a massive donation to the Rocky Mountain Theater several years ago, and it has prospered. This intimate theater will not contain the burst of talent in this company. Build it and they might stay; leave it as it is and they will move on to greener venues. Wishing you simply the best, Coach

I have lived here for 8 years and have been a fan all 8 years...and it keeps getting better and better! I am a long time theater goer, from Broadway to this incredible small town venue. Lake Dillon overwhelms me every season!

We have seen two musical productions at the Dillon Theatre. This is a very quaint theatre. Xanadu and Eight-track. Both productions were world class. I never expected so much talent in such a small setting. The seating is very intimate and personal.

This was my second play and both times I was so impressed by the caliber of acting. This is a very small, intimate theater but they do so much in a small space. Just saw Kiss of the Spiderwoman and everyone was so well-prepared, the singing was excellent.

We've seen a number of plays here, including Godspell, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Xanadu. They also put on a show at Keystone for kids, including: The Prince, Schoolhouse Rock, Pinocchio. They are recruiting actors from Denver and NYC--they are so talented. Most recent show was Kiss of the Spider Woman. I watched the William Hurt movie decades ago, it's some weird material. I didn't have high expectations because of that. I'm raving about it to anyone who will listen to me. We're so fortunate to have such excellent theatre in Summit County. The stage is surrounded on three sides by the audience, and there are not many seats. Makes me wonder how they make it financially but I'm doing what I can! You could literally touch the actors, and a couple times when they were dancing I thought I would get whacked. I'll assume the choreography was very precise--that's why I escaped unscathed. Beer and wine available during breaks. Close to good food and bars. They have a prologue and an epilogue where you can meet some of the actors and ask them questions. Special--not many theatres do that.
