Our first time in a river raft. 4 seniors, we had a great time. Just enough white water to make it fun. We had great conversation with Paul and being from the East coast learned alot about the river and the area. Lucy Lu was a great added attraction!

Last week we had the privilege to go on a morning raft trip with The Colorado River Guides. What a great trip! Paul, the owner, greeted us at the boat ramp parking lot. We signed all the paperwork needed and then met our guide, Dana. Then we were transported upstream by van to our drop-in point. My husband and I went on the pontoon boat.My daughter and grandson got to go on a kayak called a duckie. They followed us downstream. Dana was so knowledgeable about the river. The rapids were II and III's. The kids had a wonderful time on the duckie and learned how to maneuver though the rapids. They even got to swim in the Colorado River. It is not a large company and that is what makes it unique. They will even take trips far into October. We did the morning trip for two and a half hours. They also offer a day trip which includes lunch. I would recommend this raft trip to anyone who is inexperienced in rafting or who likes a little excitement. They do offer more intense trips. The people involved from the owner, Paul, the receptionist, Brenda to the guides especially, Dana are wonderful to work with....A Great Adventure!!! The website is www.raftcolorado.com.

Our family of five went down the river with a guide in our own raft! We had a fantastic experience on our full day trip. We had a nice stop for lunch. The guide, Rich, was great, he told us a lot about the wildlife. We saw fish, and two bald eagles! The river was low, but we felt very safe with our little kids in the boat. This is a true mom and pop shop- I would highly recommend this personal feel!

We recently rafted with Colorado River Guides and it was an excellent trip! We have three kids (8,4, and 1) and they all had a great time. In fact, our kids said that this experience was their favorite activity during our vacation. I'd highly recommend this company and will definitely book future trips with them!

Booked a 'float tour' for family on August 4, 2014 throught www.raftcolorado.com (1 800 WET RAFT). Wonderful 'Mom & Pop' company. Very friendly and clear with instructions and directions. There were 9 people in our family with four of them between the ages of 1-5 years old. The 1/2 day Colorado River tour was perfect for our little ones to experience 'white water rafting' for the very first time. Plenty of splashes and nice class 1-2 rapids. Our tour guide was a young man named, Rich or Ritch (sp?). GREAT GUY! Made sure we all had a great time and provided lots of historical information about the river and area during the tour. Price was great compared to other rafting companies.

We spent the day rafting down the Colorado River with CRG, and it was one of the best vacation experiences we've had. (We live in Colorado and have done our share of outdoor adventures.) It is an easy (and beautiful) drive from the Vail/Beaver Creek area. Paul and Dana (our river guide) provided superior customer service. Dana was fun, knowledgable and an excellent guide. Our kids are 9 and 11, and they were able to paddle the smaller "duckie" boat with an adult. All in all, it was a great, reasonably priced activity. A must-do in Colorado!

We had a group of 3 adults and 3 children ages 6-9 and wanted to raft with someone that would float us back to our cars as opposed to busing us after a long day on the river. We found that and so much more in Colorado River Guides!! I spoke with Paul and discussed what we were looking for and he assured me that this was exactly what his company does. We drove over from Vail (only about 45 min) and met our guide (Dana) at 2 bridges just outside of Bond. We hopped in a van with Paul and some other guests on time and headed out. Paul was great with the kids and told story after story to keep us all entertained. We dropped off the half day group and headed about another 20 min up river to our put in. After some brief instructions from Dana, we were on the river. Dana was great and very knowledgeable about the River. My son loved riding in the "Duckie" and we hit a lot of good rapids together. We had a fantastic, simple lunch on the river bank (sandwiches, watermelon, chips and cookies), took a short hike to see the Dinosaur footprints (a highlight for our group) and saw 4 bald eagles along the way! We saw the other companies pulling out at State Bridge but we continued on through more scenic parts of the river to our pull out some 3 miles down river! To top it off we finished at our cars!! This was truly a treat for all and I would highly recommend CRG and Dana for your next family rafting trip! We certainly will be back! Thanks again guys!!

We are repeat customers, using this family-run and family-fun rafting company for our out of town visitors. Both times the guides were excellent, the timing accurate, the willingness to switch times or dates unbelievable. The price is less than the other similar options in the Vail Valley. Truly a great value and great experience for all ages.

We had a great experience with Colorado River Guides. You know you're in good hands when one owner answers the phone to take the reservation and the other drives the van to the put-in location. Be sure to select a full-day trip and request inflatable ducky kayaks to make the experience more fun!

This is our second year to raft with Colorado River Guides, and just as much fun as the first. As a family of four, we chose to take two ducky boats (inflatable two person kayaks) with an adult and kid (9 and 12 year old boys) in each one. We loved being close to the water, getting wet on the rapids, but still having the guides right there to make sure we were taking the best path through the water. Great guides, emailed directions made it easy to get there, and the super mascot, Xena the amazing Golden Retriever! We would strongly recommend them for a family raft!

Went rafting yesterday on the Colorado River with our guide Paul. It was a family trip with 4 girls between 4-12. It was great. Paul was excellent with my girls, and the river was incredible. What made us choose CRG was the price. Why pay double with other outfitters? We are from Texas, but next time we're in the area we would certainly choose CRG again!

We a party of 9- 4 adults & 5 kids age 5-11, rafted with CRG for the first time in July 2013 on the Colorado. Started the trip at State Bridge. Our guide was Ryan and he was fantastic. We had a raft just for our party and each of the kids got to paddle. They also had the inflatable kayak option but with only 2 experienced paddlers and 5 kids that math didn't work! This was a relatively gently trip (we did a half day trip) and it was perfect for our group. Well run, great guides and I would highly recommend. Reasonable $45 per adult/$33 per kid. We drove from Steamboat about 75minutes. There is a changing house, bring clothes for the ride home especially if you swim, I was cold and welcomed my dry duds!

This is the 3rd year that I rafted with Colorado River Guides. They're great people with great service. The river has been so much fun, whether it is high or low. It's safe for all ages too! My husband likes to use the inflatable kayak -- which is also a fantastic workout. I always find it fun, and sometimes just plain relaxing, but never scary. I would definitely recommend them for everyone --- families with children, first-timers and anyone else that loves the greater outdoors!!!

I've white water rafted several rivers and had actually done the Eagle a few years ago. But the water today was Absolutely Awesome! Our guide was Paul. He is one of the best guides I've ever been with. He made all of us feel comfortable and that is hard to do when you are senior citizens in poor physical condition! I didn't think I would ever be able to make another white water trip but Paul made my dreams come true today. We took our 14 year old grandson on his first adventure and he loved it. Paul put my husband, grandson, and myself right at ease.He taught us the history, and geology, of the river all along the way. The rapids are perfect right now. Plenty of excitement for young or old. Thanks Paul for making my dream come true.Would recommend this for anyone wanting to try whitewater rafting.
