Bullwhackers Casino in Black Hawk has been bought by Affinity Gaming, I believe. Anyway, it's completely remodeled and not Bullwhackers anymore. The new décor is up-to-date, clean and modern. More slots and video poker games have been added too. Best of all, Black Hawk is close to Denver and very easy to get to for a day at the casino. Food is inexpensive but excellent. There are many choices for gaming and all personnel that I met were friendly and helpful. I look forward to "going up the hill" again.

We come to Blackhawk several times a year and decided to give Bullwackers a try. This was mistake, I previously had a club card and asking the cashier to make me one was clearly asking too much. She signed and said ok, never smiling or make eye contact. Then I had the opportunity to experience one of the security people when she checked our ID's, talk about rude. One plus the male staff were friendly, said hi and wished me luck. These two individuals ruined experience and you can guarantee, I will never step foot inside this miserable establishment, ever again. People who make it so clear they hate people, should not work in the hospitality industry!

This place is a joke! There's NEVER anyone playing here but they are quick to tell you that you've parked in 1 of 500 VIP parking spots and your vehicle is going to be towed. Really there's more VIP parking to accommodate EVERY car in Blackhawk and 20 regular spaces. Get rid if your VIP and start allowing regular patrons to park here. It no wonder the VIP spots are empty....no one wins here so no one will be a VIP. Pass on this place!

Average food, average service, average price. nothing to get excited about. Maybe Jonny Z will improve things. It used to be awesome back in the day.

Food was better than I expected for casino food. I am actually going back, and not to gamble, it's for the food. The quesadilla was huge, and delicious, and the chili on the hot dog was homemade, at least it tasted that way.

This is a small, but fun casino in Blackhawk, CO. The variety of games is pretty good for a small casino. Staff members pass out free samples of the food all hours of the day, which is a nice touch.

We didn't stay long as we are not the last of the big time spenders! This casino has been open for years and has valet parking but nothing new to attract us to stay inside long.

It is getting down to a minimum. Table games have been taken out. Slots are getting fewer and fewer.Sad used to have a lot of fun there.

I actually haven't been to this casino but I was staying in winter park looking at things to do and noticed this place on the list, I live and work In Las Vegas and although I don't currently work at the casino they have in the picture, I did open that casino 3 years ago and I can tell you for 100% certainty that the picture they are using is of The M resort in Las Vegas (technically Henderson nv but few people know that even in vegas) and definately not any resort/casino in Colorado, and the reason it is called the M (hence the big M on the side) is it is named after Anthony Marnell who owned it.

Drove to Black Hawk from Denver on Hwy 58, which is a winding mountain road with lots of scenery. You can also get her via the Interstate if you don't want to drive on 58. Bullwhackers Casino is among many casinos located in Black Hawk. When we were there in November, there were only a few slot machine players, but it was around 10 am. They have free parking and valet parking if you desire. Free soda, tea, and coffee area. Colorful casino, but not much different than others on the inside. Don't know exactly why so many casinos are located in this small old mining town. Worth going to as there are several other towns in the area, including Georgetown, and Idaho Springs which has a nice visitor center and free museum.

The main thing I like at this Casino is their Sequential Progressive Video Poker machines. I’ve had some large payouts here and the parking is very easy to find and use. Another thing I like is the facts that as you earn comps you earn dollars for the gas station you see on the seven mile stretch up the canyon because the gas station is also owned by Bullwhackers. The only drawback is the gasoline is way over priced. They usually have free popcorn in the basement and it tastes pretty darn good. There is also a small soda fountain type restaurant upstairs where you can use your food comps. Also there is one female valet attendant that likes to insult people as they walk in. The only reason I figure she does this is if you park your vehicle yourself so you don’t have to tip her. I’ve learned to ignore her.

We typically visit Black Hawk on the weekends but it's so over crowded and busy. It's hard finding a slot you want to play at this casino just like all the others. It's totally over crowded and the security guards are far too concerned with people taking their drinks outside in the smoking areas then they are with carding people. We watched an under aged girl gamble and order a drink before anyone carded her and then escorted her out. Wow.

Upon arrival I was greeted by the very friendly director of the HR Department. I said it was my first time there. She directed me to the player's club to get a slot card. There were two slots I had never seen. I tried them out; and had an enjoyable time playing them. I went exploring, and found some old favorite slots. They were fun to play. The bar maid was friendly; and took care of my needs well. Do not let the parking lot intimidate you. The signs aren't clear as to where "self parking" is. There is plenty of free self parking in the rear.

This is by far the worst casino I have ever had the displeasure to play in. A friend and I went into the casino and within minutes we were escorted out. We didn't do a single thing wrong and we were not intoxicated. We just walked in looking for a good time and were gone immediately. I read another review on another site where the same thing happened. I guess if you walk in looking like you are having a good time, they put a stop to it. This casino sucks and I will never go back there ever!!!

We have been going to Bullwhacker's for as long as its been in Black Hawk. We used to win there, fairly often. Not a lot, but a comfortable amount. But, they have "tightened" the slots, so its very seldom that you really "win" anything anymore. The new restaurant, Gregory's, is really awful! PLEASE bring back Elanor's Restaurant. That was a place we used to look forward to eating at. Great food, great service, great prices!!!But Gregory's sucks! Sorry, I know the truth hurts, but you may as well face it. Ever wonder why its never very busy up there anymore? Well, check with the poor fools who went in there to eat.Breakfast Buffet for $5.99? We used to be able to order breakfast all day long, and for a much lower price, and if you got there in time in the morning, you could eat practically free. (Often, it was free, using your comps.) Just PLEASE bring Elanor's back.Oh, and who decided the baseball team pictures had to go? Those were a big part of the history of the area. All "progress" isn't good. And one last thing-get some type of stools or chairs for your club people to sit down in. That's inhumane to make them stand 8-10 hours a day!A "sore loser".
