My husband and I wanted a quiet, easy walk on a overcast day that was forecasting rain so we decided to check this out. It was beautiful and educational. Fully paved so it wouls be a good short trail for people of all ages and needs.

This is a very nice and easy walk on a paved trail. Very pretty walk with a river to take pictures beside. There are old chimneys left over from the old days. This is a short walk that loops around. Great for anyone who wants a short and easy walk with beautiful views.

This short paved walk was very nice! It follows along the West prong of the Little Pigeon River. If you step away from the walkway, you can go right down to the river where there are water falls, rocks and beautiful photo ops! Worth the time to stop by and take the gentle stroll.

This was an impulse hike, and a pleasant surprise. The trail is easy to follow, relatively level, and set in an idyllic forest. It's just long enough that we felt like we'd accomplished something, but not so long that we wished we were done halfway through. And the waterfall at the end of it was just lovely!

Nothing but a wonderful drive... enjoy the drive, the view, and the wildlife. The roadside creeks are beautiful, with a huge variety of rock formations and creek bed varieties

We used this trail for our runs as was gravel and maintained well for a 4 mile total trail. Easy area to park in at the visitor center and restrooms as well.

We visited the trial which lead to Cataract Falls. Very pretty. Bring umbrella as it rains during summer. Wear closed shoes since it gets muddy. If you have a walking stick its even better!

If you want to get a small sample of what you might find by getting out of your car and taking a walk in the woods, then this is for you. Not much to see here. I would suggest skipping it and saving your steps for better trails. I will now that I have been there and done that.

This is an area as you enter Gatlinburg...you can walk, visit, use gift shop and restrooms...hiking is great, but better up the mountain trails

Sugarlands Nature Trail is perfect for people who are not avid hikers and don't want something too strenuous. It would also be great for anyone with problems walking or in a wheelchair. It is a flat, totally paved path about a 1/2 mile that takes you back in the woods and right by a babbling brook. It took us maybe 30 min. to do it, lingering here and there.I only gave it 4 stars because we encountered some annoying people while we were there. They were yelling LOUDLY while playing in the stream (I don't have an issue that they were in the stream, but they were being so unnecessarily loud), and there was also litter and trash by the stream. I don't know that it was them or not, but PLEASE pack out what you bring in on any of the trails in the park. Leave no trace and all of that.Overall, we enjoyed this short walk and it can be really peaceful and quiet if you don't have teenagers whooping it up like they're at a party.

Only a half mile (one way) and not steep at all. Plus, it has a small river running alongside. Great for kids!!! Could spend at least an hour or so just playing, climbing, strolling this trail. Easy trail to bring a stroller on, too! Highly recommend it.

I loved walking on the Nature Trail! The $1 booklet explains everything and guides you along the trail. The path is a little bumpy and narrow in spots. Be careful and Enjoy!

This was a nice spot to stop and take in the sights. Don't forget to take along your camera as you can find all kinds of opportunities to use it.
