On Saturday nights, music lovers gather to jam and/or listen to authentic mountain music. The people are as interesting as the music.

I play guitar as a hobby so I have been to Music Row numerous times. Its a great way to hear good, clean music and know you don't have to cover your kids or spouses ears.

Several times a week, the residents in the Maryville area get together at Music Row for an evening of home-grown music. Groups of musicians and singers gather in the various rooms for impromptu jam sessions. Visitors move from room to room to sample the different sounds. You will be amazed at the quality of the music. There must be something in the water down there.Once a month they have a "stage night" where the groups present their material in a concert format. Check the web site for more info. Admission is $3 pp. For an additional $6, you can get a 3-course dinner (plus cornbread) prepared in the cafeteria by Miss Cathy. She typically has several entrees and sides to pick from. That's a whole evening of good food and great music for $9. Now, that's a bargain.
