This was an awesome adventure. Absolutely a hidden treasure. So worse the the hiking. Take a picnic and stay for a while. Really a must see.

This is a great FREE hike you can take in Greeneville. It takes about 45 minutes (with kids or those physically unfit like me :)). It's a little strenuous, a lot of the hike is up hill. But, it is totally worth it. The majority of the trail is beside a gorgeous stream/river. Once you get to the falls you can cool off in the water, it's usually pretty cold! Bring your camera, swimsuit, water and snacks. Oh, and toilet paper! Great for a relaxing afternoon spent with kids/family or a date!

Beautiful hike that's a little rocky, but that's fine as long as you wear appropriate shoes. I'll likely go back during different times of the year to see the scenery in all seasons.

These falls are off the beaten path and easily accessible from 11E just north of Greeneville, TN. There is a 1.2 mile hike to the falls from the parking lot. The hike is mostly uphill and over rocks and across a stream. A peaceful oasis is reached at the end of a well marked trail.
