the shoppes at roper mansion

We visited the Shoppes at Roper Mansion as part of the historic walking tour of Dandridge, and we were pleasantly surprised about the variety inside this historic house. There are many nicely preserved rooms in this mansion, each furnished with the proper antiques or art for sale. There are all kinds of kitchen equipment in the kitchen, toys in the kid's room, knick knacks in the living room, dishes in the dining room, tools in the basement and so on. Also, there is plenty of art for sale, as well. It was like stepping back in time - a very interesting afternoon for sure!

A very nice antique shop with lots of interesting items. The house is full of history and very well maintained. The staff is very helpful as well!

We had a great time. Dandridge is such a neat little town to visit. Not the normal "glitzy" tourist trap t-shirt stop. Instead, a nice little country town with several nice shops including "The Shoppes at Roper Mansion". The Shoppes at Roper are a nice mix of antiques, hand crafted items, art work and some new mechandise all within a early 1800 mansion that is well worth the trip.

The Roper Mansion has rooms and rooms of great antiques, plus two wonderful art galleries upstairs. I found some great primitive bowls in the basment summer kitchen. It's an interesting house with a lot of history, Very friendly and helpful staff!. The dogs are great too!

My sister came from AZ. to visit and she loves antiques and so do I. When we walked in there we were very impressed at the warmth and friendiness we found there and how beautifully done all the rooms were. They have some outstanding pieces on display and we will go back because you really need to take your time to see and appreciate what is there. Also a bonus they are pet friendly which we thought was really great.

Roper Mansion is a lovely historic mansion with beautiful gardens and porches that please the eye and provide a restful place to stroll. The antiques and artwork are quite nice with a large variety and great prices. The owner is a terrific lady that obviously enjoys owning the mansion and providing great quality items on display.
