And great book store too! We stopped on a whim and we're glad we did. Well worth it just for a great cup of joe and a very friendly management.

So glad we found this great place. Deanna the owner is very nice. They have a huge selection of books along with yummy fair trade coffee. So forget Starbucks and give this local family run business a try.They have many wonderful gifts for sale as well. The prices are also much better than your local tourist trap. So grab a delicious coffee, find a book and prop your butt down in a corner somewhere. You will be pleasantly surprised and definately will not disappoint**** Make sure you use the bathroom before going here. They do not have a public bathroom on premises :)

My husband and I just stopped by for some organic coffee and was pleasantly surprised! The selection of books and the prices were amazing as well as the coffee! We plan on going back sometime this week to spend more time and money there! The owner was very sweet and made us feel very welcomed! Definitely worth turning around for and we will be there again before we leave!

Subject areas cover the gamut through architecture, novels, how-to, crafts, biography, art....you name it. There are also many great gift items, including soaps, coffees, jewelry, and more. All this, and located next to the Great Smoky Mountains! Leave that Kindle at home and enjoy the delight of burrowing through stacks and stacks of affordable books. There's nothing like it for true book lovers.

Deanne and Harold are always helpful to their customers. They have wonderful organic coffees and many good things to eat. Their book selection is great. If you are in a hurry, Deanne will find a book that you want for you, or let you know that she doesn't have it. She can offer suggestions about other similar books, but she usually has the one you are looking for! They have many souvenirs for those looking to take a gift back home. Their prices are reasonable, and you can save a money by getting them here instead of the local tourist towns. The prices in those towns are much higher, for the same items. Most people would enjoy this store. I sure do.

Yes, if you drive past the parking lot of Our Place, it is definitely worth turning around at the next available place, and going back ! On my first visit a few days before Christmas, I was so busy looking at the lovely mountain scenery, that I drove past the driveway. I am so glad I turned around and went back. I found several books that I don't think I would have found anywhere else, and the coffee was delicious. I enjoyed talking with the owner as I shopped, and found that although the shelves are so packed that it seems not another book would possibly fit, she knows EXACTLY what books she had, in the categories I asked about, and how many she had on the subjects that I asked about. Two of the books were supposed to have been used, but in such perfect condition that I gave them away as Christmas gifts! A couple of them were history books that are either out of print or hard to find, and will be invaluable resources for a historical novel that I am writing. The prices were better than I have found in chain stores, and two of them I believe are out of print, and could not be found at a chain bookstore. So if you are distracted by the mountain scenery and run past Our Place, please turn around and go back!

Been driving past here for years. Wanted some coffee beans. I've been dissatisfied with coffee at the grocery store, wanted something new. I new this place sold books but thought it was a few paperbacks. Holy moly, there are thousands and thousands of hardback books of any subject you could possibly want. Also they sell soaps, coffee cups, jewelry, t-shirts, toys and a lot of other things. By the way, I bought two different flavors of coffee beans. They sell Larry's beans from NC. They will grind it or not. I would recommend stopping here if your in the area. On the way to Gatlinburg from Cosby or on your way back. Wonderful place.

I came in looking for a few books basic carpentry and storage projects and ended up falling in love with Halloween books stories collections and all the sights and sounds there are in and the heavenly aroma of coffee. I must get back there soon I've got boxes to send to the grandkids I don't want to miss any goodies.

Great & friendly people that work hard to have the best product selection. Their coffee is over the top fresh, hot, & delicious. Makes me feel like I am at home when I visit! Def a destination for Cocke County & Cosby, Tn!!!

We stopped by with the Chihuahua yesterday after finishing our day hike at Ramsey's Cascade. While researching our trip a while back, I had searched specifically for something with coffee, books, and definitely something to do away from the usual tourist attractions in addition to our hike. We were very grateful for the coffees when we first walked in, and we spent a bit perusing the shelves and getting a refill. Lots of great field guides and a section that includes other items that support the park service with your purchase. They pretty much had everything book wise, all at great prices and some local knick knacks too. Definitely recommend.

I LOVE this place! Great selection of books and organic coffee, among other things. I could literally spend all day in this place. I tend to stop in once or twice a year. It is by far my favorite place to shop for books anywhere. The owners are absolutely wonderful! I can't wait to stop in again this November!

We lived in Gatlinburg for 5 years, and the hospitality, the general charm of the place, the coffee, and yes, the amazing selection of books made this one of our favorite places to go. In fact, it's a must every single time we go back to Gatlinburg on vacation! You won't find a place quite like this anywhere else.

Wonderful coffee, people, and lots of books that I had not seen elsewhere. Made me feel welcome immediately.
