having seen this in places to fly for years, i finally decided to go on a monday and after many calls, i finally got transferred to a recording that said the course was closed indefinitely. If this is incorrect please ammend.

Bring you A game when you play this course. A beautiful course in the rolling hills of Tennessee that will try your skills. The club house is very nice, the food served there was excellent and the staff very friendly. Play lousy golf but really enjoyed the course and time there.

Bear Trace is a fine public golf course, complete with exceptional greens--my most important quality in a course. The fairways were nicely groomed and sand traps well taken care of, with several holes bordering Chicamauga Lake and the Tennessee River. Seeing the Bald Eagle nest on hold #10 was quite the highlight. Club house was rustic and very comfortable, with an amiable staff. Practice facilities were there for use, not just show. You'll be hard pressed to find a public course anywhere that is any better.

Ross Creek Landing recently shut its doors. Heck of a loss. It's a beautiful place and excellent golf course. Too recluded to attract the traffic it needs ... I guess. Maybe someone will buy it and restore it. It's drop-dead gorgeous,

My husband and I spent our wedding anniversary in a cabin on the Tennessee river and near this course. It was absolutely stunning! The greens were in great shape, and the course was one of the best I have ever played. A little difficult for a beginner like I am (long and narrow) but still I loved it and will play here again!

This is a great golf course that is well maintained and hardly played.
