Once you get down into the garden, take your time. There are so many formations to see, in addition to the iconic Queen.

While hiking down from sunrise or sunset point, you'll end up on the navajo trail. Follow the signs and eventually you'll come to a short dead end detour to the queens gardens. You'll have to look up to stop here, but it's not too difficult. This is a great place to stop for a while, get some water and eat something quick. It's a bit cooler down in the garden and you have some more protection from the sun. Be sure to get an etching or a picture of the marker there if you are participating in the parks newspaper treasure hunt type game. The whole navajo loop with this detour only takes about two hours, less if you power through it, but be sure to stop and enjoy the surroundings. Everywhere you look is a photo waiting to be taken.

A little crowded, but this hike/walk gives a taste of what is in store throughout the whole canyon and whets your appetite to select another trail for tomorrow

There is nothing to dislike .... make sure you bring enough water so you don't dehydrate in the hot sun. Beautiful Hoodoos and gorgeous red rock canyon .... like no other ... some similar but none like Bryce Canyon

As is true with all the hoodos in Bryce, these were stunning! It's well worth the hike - I'm glad I did it.

The Queens Garden Trail winds through the hoodoos and connects with the Navajo Trail, ending at Sunset Point. A very pleasant hike taking about 3 hours.

If you're on the Queen's Garden Trail, don't miss this spot! It has the Queen Victoria formation and hey, see if you can spot the formation that I refer to as Teapot Rock. If it has an official name, I don't know it, but it's in the Queen's Garden. It's pretty tall and up high, but if you see it, I think you have a better chance of knowing what I'm talking about right off than you do of seeing Queen Victoria in the rock named after her!

These hoodoos have a lot of fun crevices, boulders and little enclaves that are fun for you and your friends to photograph with. These are like interactive hoodoos as they are easy and safe to get close to. When we were hiking some people were practically running to the top. Have fun with this part of the hike, don't rush your way up.

In my opinion Bryce Canyon in Utah is one of the most amazing places in US and on the Earth with unreal/ un-Earthy breath taken experience. No words can describe it, you need to experience it. We hiked Queen's Gardens, Navajo Loop, Picaboo Loop, and rim. Queen's Gardens is moderate hike with ups and downs (we used the hiking poles which help us a lot). I am very glad that I had a chance to "meet" this Magnificent Queen before nature (wind, rain, etc) transformed her to something/ somebody else.In Bryce Canyons views were constantly changing depending on the time of the day, light and points of view. Cant' wait to go back to do the Fairyland hike and see more of those magnificent canyons, hoodoos, and rock formations.

Combine this hike with the Peek-A-Boo loop for the perfect hike and the perfect day at Bryce. The Queens Garden hike is probably the easiest of all the hikes into the canyon.

Views you will never see else where. Start early, wear good footwear, bring water and sunscreen! We saw families and lots of others on this trail but not crowded. It is a definite hike with a 320 foot vertical drop but SO worth the effort. Enjoy!

We didn't find any of the trails in Bryce Canyon to be particularly easy, but this was less challenging than most. Bryce is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been, and this trail hits the high points.

The queen's garden trail has some of the most impressive views in Bryce Canyon. Additionally, the trail meanders around many hoodoos and "tunnels" making it more interesting. If you do t his trail early in the morning, you will be able to witness the bright orange color of the Hoodoos. This trail combined with the Navajo trail forms a must-hike loop in the Bryce Canyon NP.

Queen's Garden is a beautiful hike that takes you around the main amphitheatre starting near the Sunrise Point. To lengthen the hike, you can branch off into the Navajo Loop and then include Wall Street to end your hike past Thor's Hammer at Sunset Point.Wear comfy shoes, hiking boots aren't necessary but carry lots of water with you and take your time since you are at altitude.
