It's a short but steep hike to the top of Shinob Kibe, a sloping mesa overlooking the Virgin River. At the top is an old concrete navigation arrow from the historic days of air mail. The mesa provides views across Washington Fields to St. George as well as panoramas of surrounding features, including Pine Valley Mountain, Zion National Park, the Hurricane Cliffs and the Beaver Dam Mountains. Look for the log book near the navigation arrow and sign in. http://www.thespectrum.com/story/life/outdoors/2014/11/05/pod-pelicans-visit-shinob-kibe-hikers/18561153/
