My wife and I participated in a rafting trip with Holiday when we were dating and, to our surprise, the company is still in business 23 years later (although Dee and Sue, the owners, are long since retired). This time, we took our daughters and a long term boyfriend with us on this adventure. Every one had the time of our lives and cannot wait to book a Yampa River adventure for next June. The sights, thrills and service were indescribably great. Big thanks to our guides, Mike, Doug and even Elder Domer for making this trip almost luxurious. It is camping, after all. They have everything down to a science. Every meal was above average. The campsites were well thought out, the hikes were great, the rapids were thrilling and the company/sense of humor of these seasoned river men made it all the more enjoyable. Let's not forget Karen on the reservation side. She helped us dial in the trip prior to departure. A couple in our group had dietary restrictions and she helped with that, as well as several other special requests. All in all, 5 stars well earned.

We completed a three day Ladore river trip at te end of July, and loved every moment of the journey! Our guides Tim, Peter and Ben made sure everything was organized, and fun! The scenery was incredible, the food was delicious, and the rapids were exciting. It was so relaxing to be completely disconnected for three days...just focused on the present and nothing else. This was our first time camping and our first time rafting, and we'll be back for more! Be sure to bring some fun ideas for campfire games.

I've been on raft trips with Holiday on the Green River, the Yampa, the San Juan, and the Salmon (Idaho) multiple times. I've always had a great, safe, and fun trip with good food and interesting people. Holiday guides are skilled, experienced, kind, and great dutch oven cooks. Rafting in the wilderness is my favorite yearly vacation and I couldn't do it without Holiday.

We went on another whitewater rafting vacation with Holiday River and it was just as good as last time. The guides were great, the food, and everything else. We saw some Indian petroglyphs and brought some friends this time. The rapids were a bit low because the water was high and swift in May when we went but it was still tons of fun. We plan on going next year as well.

We did four days on the Green River going through the Gates of Lodore. The scenery was fantastic going trough the canyons. Our guides, Susan and Jesse were the best. Besides the great ride through rapids, they cooked the best meals, told tons of information, had a great sense of humor, and worked their tails off to make sure this was our best vacation. If the views and ride were not enough, these two would make you want to do this again. Thanks you guys!

This was the best family vacation we've ever taken! The setting was spectacular, the service was attentive and professional, and the food was beyond expectations. Our guides were river experts, game experts, and engaging conversationalists. We had three generations in our family on the trip and it was perfect for everyone. As soon as our trip was over I started thinking how we could go again!!

My family, friends and I recently took a 4 day Gates of Ladore rafting trip on the Green River with Holiday Expeditions. It was everything and more for our group. The guides were spectacular, the food delicious and the river canyons just GORGEOUS! I highly recommend this outfitter, and this trip as a great way to see the beauty of the West. Enjoy!

This last May (17 thru 20) my wife and I took our 5th down the San Juan. Each time the water flow and feel of the river has been different and completly enjoyable. The guides are always friendly, outgoing and are a plus to the fun of the trip. Our other rafters were interesting and by supper time of the first day we were all friends. We take this trip to clear the cobwebs from our brains and it has worked every time.The food is always great and the comradre makes it tase all the better.I do hope the next trip has a little more water, it would give the guide a little less work and more time to socialize. All totaled another wonderful trip from holiday

I went with a dozen 30 year old friends down the Yampa River with Holiday River Expeditions, the trip was simply outstanding in every way. The guides were great fun, pitching in at the campsites but also making sure the holiday was our own. The food was incredible, how you bake muffins or lasagne on the side of a river with no electricity remains a mystery. And the whole trip was so efficiently organised, from the launch, to the hikes, to the camping, the paddle boating, the meals and finally (sadly) the return. Total professionals. I cannot recommend Holiday River Expeditions enough, I'm a week back and already looking forward to my next trip!PS The scenery is pretty ******* amazing too!

Few rivers in the West can offer the seclusion, non-stop scenery, great rapids, green parks, pictographs, trout fishing and soulful beaches than the wild and free flowing Yampa River as it cuts through Dinosaur National Monument. And no river company treats you as good as Holiday River Expeditions. Very experienced guides, new equipment, sumptuous meals and very cool side hikes.

An absolutely amazing experience and one of the best holidays ever. The whole trip was extremely well planned and executed perfectly. The guides that looked after us were all very professional and hard working but also socialised really well with our group and put much more than the necessary effort in on many occasions. I could not recommend this trip and this company any higher.

When booking this I didn't really know what to expect, but Holiday River really came through with an absolutely amazing trip. The pre-holiday service was excellent and really helped us (Group of 14) find the right trip at the right time of year that would best suit our needs.The rafting itself was incredible fun and the guides made sure we knew exactly what to do and when so it always felt completely safe. The scenery down the Yampa was absolutely beautiful so when there weren't white water sections there was always something incredible to look at. The guides knew frequent stop offs for hikes that would take us to old cabins, waterfalls, cave drawings and early settlements.I'm not the biggest camper, but the guides made this the most painless experience ever. Tents were all easy to put up and big cushioned ground mats (All equipment rented) made the nights sleep comfortable. The campsites we pulled into were all incredibly beautiful and lovely places to spend an evening around the campfire. One thing our whole group kept talking about was the food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner), which was absolutely amazing, literally sometimes better than a restaurant. Lasagna, steaks and fajitas for dinners and pancakes and bacon or omelettes for breakfast really made it for me.Literally one of the best holidays I have ever had. Big thanks to Holiday River and our guides for making it so fantastic.

Just spent five days rafting down the Yampa and Green rivers on a truly unforgettable experience. I cannot recommend this company or this trip more highly. It went above and beyond all expectations. I really hope to head back on another trip in the not too distant future. The guides were excellent, the rafting and hiking were sensational and the food was great. They even managed to keep our beers cold for the whole trip!

Holiday River Expeditions provides a fun, scenic, SAFE family river experience. This was my family of four's second Holiday River Trip. We went on Westwater last year and Gates of Ladore this year. The guides are knowledgeable, funny, and experienced. They do all of the rowing and make sure you and your children are safe on the river. For the most part the food is great. We had some issues this year on steak night as the coals did not get hot enough and the steaks were undercooked as a result. Kind of a disappointment. Our group also wanted more ice to keep our drinks colder. The camping spots reserved by Holiday were pristine and roomy. We traveled with a large group of friends so that was perfect. I would not want to be on the trip with a group of strangers. Our children range in age from 9 - 13 and they had the BEST time!!! It is easy to book a trip, Tammy is helpful and professional. Holiday provides you with an extensive checklist so you are prepared with packing and planning.Bottom line, if you are looking to take a guided river/camping trip, look no further than Holiday River Expeditions!!! We can't wait for the next trip!!!!

This is my second year in a row that I have been fortunate to be on a Holiday Trip on Gates of Ladore. I have spent many years on many rivers and my trios with Holiday are always special. They are an incredibly organized, well run company with professional, capable guides. Hope I get to go again next year. I LOVE Holiday!!!
