We visited Esacalante for the second time in a few years (we live very far from there).We went again with Rick (guide and owner).The area is one of the most beautiful you can dream of and Rick knows it like no one else.He is reassuring, patient, knows all the technical tricks, but, above all, he is passionate and that makes a big difference to enjoy the canyons.We have been travelling to many very beautiful places in the world, but we find that a day (or more) at Escalante, with Excursions of Escalante is the best in the USA and among the best in the world. (I've been many times to the USA from Europe, so I write from experience).I was reluctant to write this comment because I would be sorry if Escalante would be invaded by tourists. But it is only fair to Rick and Amie to say that this is going to be the thrill of your life.Be prepared.

Hi Rachael - Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback! We always let folks know to wear their play clothes, as it is likely that they will come back dirty and torn from a days fun in the canyons! Glad you enjoyed the sandwich :) Secret to a sog-free sandwich. Cheese first, then the turkey, then the tomatos, then the lettuce. Only let dry items touch the bread and don't wrap it too tight or the turkey and tomato juices will be squeezed out and onto the bread. LOL. The Science of a Sandwich. Okay, one more. For those of you that prefer a PBJ or PBH sandwich, (like me) put the peanut butter on both sides of the bread and the jelly or honey in the middle. :) Happy Travels and have a wonderul Winter season!Cheers,Amie Fortin
