The acting and the play were outstanding. The lead woman who played Norma was truly outstanding. I would highly recommend the venue.

Saw "I'm Home for the Holidays" here over the holiday season. This theater was great. It's small and intimate but seats are really comfy and roomy which is unique for a small venue. Staff was really friendly and this is run very efficiently. The show itself was great. We laughed from the moment it began until it ended. It was a great evening and would certainly recommend to anyone in the area!

The Delaware Theater Company is a environmentally great place to see a show. Seating, sound, decor and parking all work in favor of the audience. Shows vary but most are well done and often the talent is surprisingly superior.Currently Playing - Dec. 2014 - My mother is Italian, My Father is Jewish & and I'm home for the holidays. If you have a chance to see it - Go you will enjoy it.It is a one man show. Steve Solomon is great. It is hard to believe that he can remember the material, the sequence and make it all flow without interruption or the aid of anything except a few sound effects. The props are simple, a airport waiting area, a phone, a backdrop - projected screen of a plane that is on the tarmac. Some of the jokes and stories have been around a bit, but he interweaves them into life - your life and my life- as we know it. Everything's funny, noting was offense and the time flies by to an intermission. You can't wait to get back to the second portion of the show because your are expecting things to change. Well they don't! The second act - if it can be called an act is equally as funny and entertaining.Tickets are reasonable, the only issue is the Theater Company Web Site - It appeared that only a few seats were available, yet the show was only about 75% sold out on the first Saturday Night unless the weather forced a lot of no shows. The Theater is a gem that is often overlooked in favor of larger productions. Don't miss out and try the local flavor and comfort of Wilmington DE. Waterfront.

Great small, modern theatre. The 2 shows this season have been very entertaining. The shows are reasonably priced. Parking is also a breeze, a free overflow lot is just a block and1/2 away.

My wife and I have seen several performances at this theater. It is small but cozy and I do not think there is a bad seat in the house. We are looking forward to attending an up-coming show next month.

First-class productions by well-regarded--some of them name--actors, rendered in a professional manner. Nothing amateurish about these programs. Wednesday matinees often have enlightening pre-performance talks. I never fail to purchase season tickets.

Clean and cozy theatre with pleasant staff. Wonderful atmosphere. This little theatre is alive with quality productions, well known stars, and plenty of art work on view. Something for everyone.

Under the new management of Bud Martin, Delaware Theatre Company has become a real jewel of a theatre, with productions that not only come directly from NYC, but are SENDING shows to New York, as well. A Broadway theatre goer all my life, I have to tell you it is a joy to be able to see this quality of theatre in Delaware. "Aint't Misbehavin'" was truly Broadway quality at Delaware prices.

Every seat is a nice seat and you can't beat the prices. We have been subscribers for decades. Subscriptions give you the convenience of swapping your seats for another performance at no charge ... well worth it!

We are so lucky to have this wonderful theater done near our riverfront where there is not a bad seat in the house and the productions get better and better each year. The latest, "Ain't Misbehavin" was among the recent best. The standing ovation for the five actors and the supporting band was most deserved.

Attended showing of "South Pacific" for my birthday. Entertainers are professionals, but not nationally known stars. However, I find the level of talent and professionalism to be well worth the price of admission. Wilmington draws more than its share of "name" entertainers, some of whom do appear at this theater. I always enjoy myself.

Attended a play tonight -- also highly recommended - "My Father was Jewish - My Mother Italian - and I'm in therapy". The theater is very new inside - basic, simple and clean. Small enough to be intimate, yet big enough for larger productions. The seating slope allowed every seat a great view of the stage vs. the head of the person in front of you. Every seat was a great seat. Close by was free parking, the beautiful Riverwalk area, and several nice resturants, see revues for Firestone.

This is an intimate venue with stadium type seating. We were there to see a one-man show and were pleasantly surprised with the legroom and unobstructed view of the stage. The seats could use some updating.

We visited the Delaware Theatre for the first time this weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The theater is small and cozy. There isn’t a bad seat in the place. There is ample leg room between the rows. Even my husband, who is over 6 feet tall, didn’t feel squished. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The theater is only 5 minutes from the waterfront where several nice restaurants are located. I definitely will go back again.
