The Nampa Depot is now the museum. Displays lean toward the railroad, but the out buildings has more about early agriculture in the area. Do stop by.Don't forget to check their other museum in Caldwell. See the website for details. Also check the museum for pricing details on admission. Museums are worth it, the price is reasonable, so go-ahead and pay a little extra.

While this little museum can be hit or miss based on who is staffing it during your visit, it has a decent amount of history and fun stuff to look at. If you hit it right, you'll get a tour of the old train cars parked outside as well.I have two little boys who love trains, so the model trains inside are always a hit. Drop in a quarter and they run for a good while. This keeps them happy long enough for adults to peruse the rest of the displays.Parking is ample. The hours of operation change from time to time. Saturdays are your best bet. I recommend checking to see if they will be open before making the drive.

Alas, this is a secondhand review. We decided on Saturday at 2 to go there, and it closed on Saturday at 2. But when I mentioned it to several locals, they were very enthusiastic. They told about the depth of information, and that they rotate key displays in and out.I was disappointed to miss it, but my family and friends say it is a great place. At the time we were there, at least, it was only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Great way to spend an hour or so! Docents were informative and more than willing to share their knowledge. They willingly opened up the caboose on a very cold January day - just so we could take a look - thank you!

this is a very small museum right by the rail road tracks there in Nampa. Plenty of parking, lots of info on Nampa and the rail road and the surrounding areas. Very interesting if you take the time to stop and read alot of the info. Staff were very helpfull.
