We will never forget the fun we had as a family at the Activity Barn. The kids loved it and I loved getting the pictures of them having so much fun. It was freezing cold, but for an hour or so, we could handle it. We recommend this fun slide. The inner-tubes are built just for this kind of activity.

The kids loved inner tubing here. It was a little hair-raising for me as mom. Four year old had a collision at the bottom as he was trying to get out. Beware with younger kids. Make them ride tandem so you can scoop them up! Also, helmets would be smart.

A great activity to do with family. Liked the tubes. Beautiful scenery and great snow. Also fun for large groups.

While growing up in McCall I learned sledding and snow tubing only looses its excitement after having to walk back up the hill repeatedly. As I grew older the repetitive hill climbs became a factor in my diminished excitement for sledding. Then the activity barn opened with a tow rope to pull me up the hill and everything changed!Over 10 years later now when I return to visit McCall I always want to spend time tubing at the Activity Barn. Over the years I have always had a good time on the hill. Tubing at night under the spotlights is my favorite time to go. As snow conditions changed it makes each run different. There are several runs to choose from so there are more than one option to get back to the bottom. They have plenty of tubes for everyone each time I have visited.The staff is friendly and helpfully. One of my visits they had to stop and readjust the tow rope for 5 minutes and without anyone asking they added 10 minutes of time to everyone waiting in line to make up for the wait.On big weekends when there are a lot of tourist in town the hill can be crowed. Growing up as a local I learned to visit on the "off" times to avoid the crowds. For the fastest runs visit after there has been warmer weather and then the snow has refrozen. There will be an nice layer of ice on the runs!

Fairly priced. A little far out. Nice warm Yurt for main office with a pellet stove to get warmed up. Fast runs!

Take your kids or go with a group of adults. My husband and I spent an hour acting like kids ourselves and having a ball. Dress in your ski duds (jacket, pants, mittens and hat) and you'll be warm. Hang on to your friend's inner tube and go down in train formation. We connected four tubes in a big circle and took off with help from the guys working on top. They are really helpful. It is so much fun. And, you never have to walk up the hill. You sit on your tube and are pulled up. It releases you to slide a few feet down. You stand up and walk a few feet to the beginning of the run.. What could be easier? On busy weekends you'll get fewer runs and may want to stay longer. It is reasonably priced compared to skiing and ice skating, too.

Overall it is fun, but have found it on two occasions to be over crowded and the runs for the wait and cost are not as valued as I would expected.

These guys do a good job with a simple concept...pick a tube, get to the top of hill, slide down. If there's lots of snow, they will open 3 runs. Sadly in Dec 2012 there wasn't much and they only had 2 runs open so lines up top were long. Still fun!

It was fun with a group of people. Small place but had a good evening of fun. You have the option of walking up to the top or you can ride up the lift.

We came as a group of 6 adults. Had an awesome time, one we won't forget! It is nothing fancy, but serves it's purpose well. We wished there were more snow, but due to the lack of snow the runs were very fast! We hit the hay bales at the end of the run almost every time!!! :) Thank goodness there is a tow rope to take you to the top of the hill. We had a minimal wait time and took advantage of our full hour of tubing to the last minute!

We went tubing as a family on our recent weekend trip to McCall. The cost was only $8.00 per person for one hour of tubing. With only about a dozen people on the hill we never waited in line. There are 3 runs with different contours that add to the fun. They estimate you travel upward of 35 miles per hour down the hill and then a leisurely ride back up the rope tow to do it all over again. The staff was very friendly. In the one hour of tubing we made close to 10 runs.

How do you beat a 750 foot long hill with an 85 foot drop in a tube with your wife and five kids!! You have got to at least try this one time....you will be hooked!

Tubing is a hoot - is fun for almost every age in your family and affordable. It's worth the effort to seek out low attendance times so you get more runs in for your hourly purchase. Go as fast or as slow as you like.

My family and I went tubing and it was a blast! Both kids loved it and the price for a family of four was good. The employees were all friendly and the tubing is a lot of fun.
