olympic swimming complex

We went to the Olympic pool rather than the hot tubs because it was too hot outside. The pool area was clean and they have good hamburgers and fries if you want a snack. I felt it was a little on the spendy side though. The shower and dressing area could be a little cleaner. I recommend coming in your swim suit and making sure you dry before leaving. Bring sandals, towels, lawn chairs, food, water and a little soda as a treat. If all the shaded areas are taken you may wish you had a cover on hot days. Just as a note, they do not allow alcohol or glass in the pool area even if you stay on the grass area. They will check any bag you bring in. If you want to use the diving boards you can go on-line and print out a release/waiver/liability or you can do it at the pool if you are with parents. The release needs to be signed by a parent or legal guardian over 21 years old. The reason is... some diving board are very high! If you have not mastered the skill diving be very careful! We saw a young gal jump off the 30 meter (I believe it is 30 which is the highest) feet first and slightly rotated forward when hitting the water. She was dazed/knockout and had to be rescued. So parents do not just let your children go for the highest thrill. Start low and practice. It is exhilarating to jump off the high board but be careful!The slides are great fun! This is what I liked the best. We spent a lot of time just playing in the large pool also. Remember to bring sunscreen! I have a fair complexion and was burnt even when I spent all the time out of the water under a tree. We had a great time. It is also nice that there are multiple restaurants in the area when you're hungry after playing. We grabbed a Subway on the way to the freeway and that filled our stomachs.The trip made good memories. We will do it again, but since winter is coming we will try the hot tubs The outdoor pool is close in the winter but they also have indoor pools which we didn't try. I will let you know when we go hot tubing!

The great thing about the olympic swimming complex in lava hot springs is the variety of activities for the entire family. They have a nice pool but have added water slides for all ages. They have slides for toddlers up to extreme slides the older kids will enjoy. Their platform boards are also a lot of fun especially if you like jumping off high things. They have a kiddie pool area inside for babies which was nice as well. I strongly recommend this place. My kids have never had a bad experience here.

We stayed walking distance from the facility. The park is very clean and safe. It is open to picnics in the grassy areas. Our two kids 18 and 15 had a blast sliding and jumping off the multiple levels of diving boards. There seemed to be something for all ages to do.

Sparkling pools, great kid's area, great staff, and great concession.Bring a canopy, chairs and cooler and set up shop for the day!

This place caters to every age. We took a large youth group for the day, we had all experience levels of swimmers and none could say they ever became bored. The slides are terrific and super safe. The platform dives are also extremely watched for ultimate safety and a super thrill for the dare devils. The large pool has plenty of room for 2 crazy basket ball games and still not getting in everyone else's space. The water is a nice temperature and when you want to warm up even more, head into the cove for a really nice hot tub. All in all this is a great place for all ages. Changing areas are super clean and well maintained.

The indoor pool has a fantastic area for babie and toddlers. The water is bathtub warm and the babies love it! The family changing rooms are kept at a nice temperature for kids. The showers are warm and there's plenty of room. They have lockers for your stuff. We always bring a picnic. There's tables and chairs available. NICE place!

This was our first visit to the swimming complex. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. We are planning on returning during the summer with a large group and she spent time recommending things for us to do and places to camp.The locker room, showers, and bathrooms were very clean and spacious.The kids loved the kiddie pool area. I lost track of how many times we stood under the big bucket of water.The rock wall and basketball hoops were a hit with our teenagers.My favorite part was the temperature of the water. It was perfect and we spent hours enjoying the indoor area of the complex.

They have something for everyone. Rock climbing wall, diving boards, platforms and watersides. Great pool in a fun town.

I always LOVE going to visit Lava Hot Springs! The swimming pool is great, in the summers there is so much to do in the outside area, and the new kiddie pool is wonderful because it is indoors, so you can get the little ones out of the sun. The slides are always so much fun, as are the diving platforms! Everyone at the pool always seems so happy to see me, and so welcoming. Management is obviously phenomenal, whoever is in charge of the swimming pool and hot pools is doing an amazing job! It's one of my favorite places to visit!

Dear David,Sorry to hear that you found the water too cool for your liking. The water for the slides is drawn directly from the 50 meter pool and is kept at 86-87 degrees. Any warmer than that and it is too warm for recreational swimming especially during the hot summer months. The hot pools located at 430 E. This pool has EVERYTHING! Outside and inside pools; kiddy areas, deep, very deep end with a super high dive + 4 other diving boards, and 4 fabulous slides. The water is JUST RIGHT.

Enjoyed the large, clean pool, slides, diving platforms and amenities. We will come back. Our grandkids loved it!

Adults can relax on a chaise while kids pick a slide to take into the water. This park is huge! Everyone had a terrific time

My toddler was in heaven in the toddler wonder pool! Clean, good price, nice people, safe! Loved the fountains of spraying water!

Lava Hot Springs is a really fun spot to go as a family. There is an Olympic sized pool and hot springs. There are diving baords and high dive boards. There are water slides as well. There is camping around this area and a grocery store within walking distance. There are other things to do aroung Lava Hot Springs like ride tubes down the river, there is helicopter rides, and there is horeback riding a short drive from here.
