We only had the chance to try one wine from Coiled before they closed. On the recommendation from a neighboring wine maker, we tried the Riesling. It was fantastic. It was a dry Riesling but it had a hint of sweet to it even though there was no sugar in it. The winemaker is from Stag's Leap Winery in Napa so she has quite a bit of experience behind her. On our next visit to Boise, we will make a point to return to Coiled to try more of her wines. The Coiled tasting room is in a warehouse in Garden City (a neighborhood/area within Boise). It is shared by 3 wineries that seem to have a very friendly, cooperative, interactive relationship. Wine production takes place in the warehouse, too, so you can get a peek of wine being made as you wander around with your tasting glass. A very fun, casual experience where you also get a chance to chat with the winemakers themselves because they are the ones working their tasting counters. A highly recommended stop!
