In town for business. Went to check it out to get away for a few hours. We went in December so we could not explore the area as much we wanted but it is a very pretty and interesting area. There are a lot of well preserved structures still in place and the drive up is pretty impressive. Don't go in the winter, it technically isn't open, we barely made it in and back out in a 4WD truck. This entire region of Idaho has a lot of interesting things to see if you look for it. A good assortment of attractions pertaining to westward expansion, mining as well as some interesting nuclear research facilities past and present. Very interesting geology and geography as well. If you are going to the area take some time to check it out. This is a very sparsely populated area so it doesn't have the usual touristy feel to it. The area impressed us enough we plan to return.
