We stopped at The Throttle to kill about 30 minutes before eating next door at Navarretes. We walked in, seated ourselves at a table in plain site of the bartender and a waitress and carried on conversation while waiting for someone to take our drink order. There were about 5 other people in the bar, a couple at the bar and maybe 3 others at a table. After about 5 minutes, we tried to catch someone's/anyone's eye. The waitress stood and chatted with the people at the table after I know she'd seen us. We waited a bit longer and ended up leaving without a drink or even an acknowledgment. We weren't rude, we weren't obnoxious, we'd never even been in The Throttle. We simply wanted a drink. Luckily, nothing can really ruin a meal at Navarrete's, which is Mexican restaurant attached to the bar. (no affiliation) We simply left without a word.
