Loved the architect, customer service by employees. Close to a number of historic locations. Loved the idea I could dress up and go to the ***** restaurant and not leave the hotel.

Looking forward to coming for an entire meal! We stopped in for drinks and had the artichoke dip with pita chips. To die for! Don't know what they did but they were so good! We were expecting hard dry pita chips... These are warm and crunchewy! YUMMY! Great bartender as well!!!

I'm not an architect or an engineering, and also I'm nothing else related to arts or construction. But for me the renovation of this historic hotel seemed very well done. The staff is very friendly, and makes you feel comfortable to take a look at the public areas of the hotel by yourself, even if you are not staying there. It worth the trip. We also liked the 1910 Grille, a restaurant located inside the building.

Spectacular, history-filled renovated hotel. Only hotel in existence operating design by Frank Lloyd Wright. Upscale scene.

This hotel is F. l. Wright's only surviving hotel. His glasswork has been returned and the entire building speaks of his style. Wonderful restoration and a gem for Mason City.

This is a Frank Lloyd Wright designed hotel that has great rooms, atmosphere and service. If you're a history buff take their tour, or just sit in the Ladies Parlor with a Balcony, the Main Lobby, the Mezzanine area with a grand piano, the Wine Room or the Large Sitting area behind the Lobby with a great fireplace and soak in the history, the architecture, the woodwork from 1910 and the Stain Glass windows and Sky Lights.

Everything was great, great food, hotel was clean and the staff was great. The beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed the surrounding areas that were also clean and neat.

I thought we would have to pay for a tour, but the hotel clerk told us to just look around. It was so nice. I loved it. Would have loved to see a room, but they were all booked.

This unique hotel is well worth staying at if you are in the area. It is possibly a once-in-a-lifetime chance to sleep in a building designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright for most of us. The building is renovated with care and is exceptionally clean and well-kept. It's fun to roam around and check out the various rooms. The rates are reasonable, and the breakfast and service is good. The view of the park is lovely.

This is a review for staying at the hotel vs just the building which everyone who goes to Mason City should at least view from the outside! This was a really worth-while place to stay! We had a large suite at the top floor (3rd) which had some of Wright's windows in it and that was pretty neat - I'm not really that sure what the other rooms were like but ours was so nice! It had a lovely bathroom with heated floors and a really nice tub. It was just really lovely and modern. The hotel itself is amazing to walk through - It's really neat to be able to walk through a Wright building on your own (since all the other one's I've been in have been on guided tours). It really does feel like you're in something he designed inside and out.I would definitely recommend staying here. The hotel was super clean and quiet as well - we never really heard anything while we were there that disturbed us. The service, though we didn't really encounter much of it, was very nice and friendly. The one downside was the free breakfast (though you can't really complain when it's free) - I just would recommend going somewhere to eat. It was fine just not a lot of options and not very good options of what was there. Just basically some bagels and orange juice and yogurt. Though they did have free Starbucks coffee which was nice. I'd just say - don't count on that to fill you up. And this really doesn't effect my overall experience of the hotel which was great. The location is great - you can walk to the Frank Llyod Wright house and the street where they have all the prairie style buildings. There are restaurants right outside, and a brewery tap room across the street. Mason City is really a lovely place to stop and is quite charming.

We were fortunate to be able to stay at this beautifully redone hotel. The attention to detail, amenities and staff are just some of the reasons I will return to this clean, beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright preserved property. If you can't stay, the staff is very accommodating about letting you tour the common areas and I believe offer tours on a regular basis.

Unique experience on this historic hotel designed by Frank Lloyd Wright at the turn of the Century. The rooms are wonderful in design, the lounge is beautiful and best is the Dinning with 5 star Chef in the house.

My wife and I are huge FLW fans. The Park Inn is the last remaining FLW designed hotel. We felt it was a must-do experience. Coming off a 20 million dollar renovation a couple of years ago, the building is an experience. There are docent led tours if you just want to check it out, but we recommend staying there. A very nice combination of historic accuracy, FLW design, and modern hotel. We stayed on the second floor, $120 a night with tax, which is actually pretty cheap for a FLW property. The room was a bit small, which you would expect, and that just made the experience better. Beautiful woodwork, built-in end tables, and FLW styled furniture paired with nice amenities (Keurig!). The bathroom is nice, beautiful granite, with a heated tile floor. The main parts of the hotel take you back in time and allow you to experience what FLW intended you to feel while staying there. We spent a lot of time in the law firm's old waiting room, in the skylight room, out on the second floor balcony, the basement bar and billiards lounge, and the lady's parlor, which is where the continental breakfast is served. The place is peaceful and will become a restful weekend retreat for us. The staff was friendly, and great to interact with. The only thing not above average was the continental breakfast, but it was ok, and that is not why you're there. Any FLW fan would appreciate this, and anyone seeking a "zen" getaway experience give this a try. We were also pleasantly surprised by all there is to do in Mason City. Great Midwest town that we will visit again.

I was in town on business. Having a rough day, after 5 minutes with Sadie the bartender in the 1910 lounge my day was 1000% better. She was attentive, without hovering. She knew her job and was a master at knowing what the customer wanted. I have never been served by a nicer bartender! If HPI does hang on to her, whoever does will have a real GEM!!!I love the HPI and I will see Sadie again, since my life is literally better since running across her path. Thanks Sadie!
