I played there last week and as i have said before this place is in awesome shape. The greens were the best i have played on in a long time. They do a great job keeping the leaves cleaned up, i never lost a ball in the leaves. They are always improving something, this time what really stuck out was the white rock they are putting along the creek banks it looks stunning. I would not hesitate to recommend this golf course to anyone and everyone.

First of all the golf pro is the nicest guy in the world. He will do anything to make sure a customer is happy. This guy has no idea what he's talking about. They have the best prices in Iowa City. The Course is in great shape, the lay out is beautiful. The staff are always polite. If there was a kids event going why would you even go disrupt them. If you were at a baseball game and kids were on the field you wouldn't go out and disrupt them.

The head pro and tenured staff treat customers very poorly. I recently paid a lot of money to play there, got there early to hit a few practice balls, putt and chip, to prepare for my round and was told the range was closed, because of a putt, chip, & drive event for kids. There were 10 hitting bays open and most of the kids were putting and chipping. I told the staff person about the open bays...and that it didn't make sense that I wasn't allowed to hit balls... was completely against any common sense... and when I called to make a tee time, no one provided the information that the practice area and range were closed. The staff person lording over the range made a weak apology and wouldn't budge about this issue...During a previous visit last fall, towards the end of the season, I showed up an hour early to hit balls and putt and was yelled at by the head pro about putting on the green. He continued to yell and argue that I was ruining the green due to frost. There was no frost and the green was wet. I never received an apology from this arrogant idiot. There were no signs out for frost warning.

Was traveling through Iowa, and used the Forelinksters.com guide to the best public golf courses to find Pleasant Valley. We were not disappointed, the rates were reasonable, the golf course conditions were good, not great, a little rough around the edges from the winter, and the golf course very challenging, would definitely return again.

Water be careful, fun course, very we'll taken care of. Great value, Florida style course, flat, easy to walk. Nice scenery on this 18-hole golf course. Nice pro shop and kitchen and Bar. Electric carts.

Golfed here once with my roommates this past spring. It was early in the season, so there weren't many other golfers, making it a laid back and fun experience. Value was decent if I remember right, probably the best course for its value in the IC area.

This golf course is very challanging since a creek winds through it and if you do not have a long ball range you can end up in the creek several times...Use old balls....lol

This is a very nice course at a resonable price but the best thing about it is the course conditions. Maintainence staff does an extremely good job taking care of the property. I play there quite often and when i go other places i am often dissapointed.

Not a long course but one where course management will test your skills. Course maintenance excellent, and you will not find a nicer landscaped course. The course is owned by a nursery so the landscaping is beyond excellent. A Florida style couse with little elevation change but many mogels and bunkers with undulating greens that can be very quick.Four sets of tee boxes, easy to walk.Reasonable rates, in the $25 range plus cart.
