This was my second visit to this little brewery in downtown Cedar Falls, and the experience was excellent. I started with a flight of locally-brewed beers, and moved on to a local brew as well as one of the guest drafts. The employee working that evening was great at attending to everyone’s needs, and was able to recommend some additional places to try in the Cedar Valley area. I really like that the brewers create clean, well-balanced brews that change with the season. We arrived just before some of the darker beers were released for winter, so that may be an excuse to go back soon! If you are a beer lover, this place is worth a stop. Bring a growler to fill for home!

I've been here several times and I look forward to several more. If you appreciate quality craft beer you will be able to find something tasty here. Usually 6-8 house beers and a handful of others from Iowa and surrounding states. Food is very good, bringing a slightly upscale feeling to the usual pub grub, and they use the house beers well as an accented ingredient. Decor is really nice, featuring the sliding library style ladder to reach some the top shelf local spirits.

There's a remarkable amount of effort put into brewing the same beer with different labels. The nuance of ingredients is completely missing and the heavy malts taste the same as the lighter hoppier brews. Some schooling might be in order for these brewmeisters.

Growing up in Cedar Falls in the late 70s and early 80s, I could never have imagined the revival of great shops downtown, let alone something as cool as brewpubs. I was very pleased with SingleSpeed, the beers and the food. I went here with my mother, brother's family, and friends and we had a great time for several hours. Their beer is really fantastic, the beer cocktails were unique and outstanding, and the food was very good and substantial enough to make you want to hang out for more than a drink or two. Good on 'em, they've got the brewpub/taproom concept down. Wish we had pubs this good at home.
