Had the blucy burger and it was the best around. I went to one other place that say they were the Minnesota first but they weren't even close to as good. Blue door has the best burger in MN

Went here for lunch with a friend for the first time. The place was overflowing but even with that the lovely waitresses never seemed stressed or anxious and were always kind even though we were mostly in their way while we were waiting for a table. And the food....Amazing. We tried a blucy and the spam bites. I would highly recommend both.

I thought I'd had good burgers, but this place blew them all away. I was incredibly intrigued by the bacon and peanut butter juicy lucy (Jiffy burger) and am so glad I gave it a try; it was simply amazing!!! I thought it sounded like the oddest combination but it was heaven in my mouth. Highly recommend! Skip the turkey wild rice soup though - the broth is pretty much just water. There aren't very many tables so go early.

It has been several years since I visited the Blue Door Pub, so on a beautiful summer night I made the ride to St. Paul to see if the burger was better than my previous visit. People in the office keep telling me to return, so tonight was the perfect opportunity.I was fortunate when I arrived that a table was open outside. The hostess did forewarn me that no alcohol was allowed at the outside tables but since I do not drink this was not an issue. A quick perusal of the menu and I was set. The “Blucy” ($7) was not my favorite the last time so I decided on a “Breakfast Blucy” ($9), which tops a basic Blucy with more cheese, a couple of slices of thick bacon and a fried egg. I also substituted onion rings for the fries for an additional $3.The burger arrived in its plastic basket along with four onion rings. Fortunately they have a pile of napkins on the table, since lifting and taking the first bite of this burger is a messy feat. The initial impression was not favorable. The meat was basic, lacking any flavor and without seasoning. The bacon was strange. It looked crispy but the fatty part was soft, the same texture when it is raw, the cheese was good and the pickles added flavor to the burger. The egg contributed a little creaminess and crispy texture. There were so many toppings that the bleu cheese on the interior was lost. Together this was an OK burger, nothing special. The onion rings were not good. They were crispy on the exterior but barely cooked on the inside, still maintaining the onion’s raw pungency.Overall the visit was no better than last time. Others may love the Blue Door, but I am still not a fan.

This was quite possibly the best burger I have ever had. I had the one with bacon and cheddar in the middle. Everyone at our table had a different kind of juicy lucy, or blucy as they call them, and everyone said the same thing that it was excellent. We were there for happy hour with $2 taps and $2 fry and tator tot baskets. The tator tots were amazing and cooked perfectly. The onion rings and fries were very good as well. We went at 4 PM on a saturday and there was a wait. It is not a very big place but it was definitely worth the wait! I will be going back someday!

I remember my uncle telling me he grew up eating peanut butter and mayonaise sandwiches. It was always uncomfortable hearing him tell this story. Fast forward thirty years later on a Wednesday afternoon at Blue Door Pub. I was told it was always busy. It was. We found two seats at the bar. The menu was unique. The bartender was very friendly. There it was, the Jiffy Burger. Peanut butter, mayo and pepperjack cheese on the burger. I had no option but to order it. It was highlighted in the middle of the menu. It was fantastic. The tator tots were perfectly cooked. The spam bites were also amazing. Parking is on the street. Prices are cheap given the quality, quantity and what other burger joints charge for a sub par product. This place is worth the wait. Enjoy.

Is this place always busy? Yes. It is noisy? Yes. But worth it! Best burgers I have ever had! And cheese curds are delicious. Its a very, very small place and always busy. Don't be in a hurray when you come, just grab a pint of beer and chill while you wait for a table. Be adventurous, try the jiffy. Yes its jiff peanut butter on a burger, it will change your life!

We had heard a lot about this place and headed there as soon as our plane landed at MSP. We were not disappointed.Lots of choices but you go here for their huge selection of Blucy burgers. We started with some pork belly fritters and fried cheese curds - both of which were amazing. We then moved onto the burgers. My wife got the blue cheese Blucy and my daughter and I each got the bacon cheddar Blucy (advertised as meat within meat!). All the burgers came out hot, were cooked perfectly and very tasty. Also, instead of fries you could opt for fried green beans which were also delicious. If you're in the minneapolis/St. Paul area this place is not to be missed.

The food here is delicious. They have some unique choices on the menu- I'd recommend the Merrium Park and the Jiffy Burger. The Spam Bites are an amazing appetizer that you must try at least once! The place is pretty small, so get in before the dinner rush. Tip: Everywhere is seated inside, so don't sit at the bar unless the hostess asks you to.

Too small of a place. I will get take out next time. I've ate here twice. The food is great! I love their burger selections! The service is fine too!

Best juicy lucy in the cities. Best happy hour around but shhh don't tell anyone else. A huge variety of burgers that you cannot go wrong with any. Even a peanut butter burger.

Nice experience. I hope this small local establishment stays this way. Very cozy and comfortable. The juicy burgers are some of the best around. Great selection of beers. Service was very attentive, but not intrusive.

If you're looking for a unique burger, this is the place for you. We were there this summer and had TaterTot Hotdish Juicy Lucy's. Soooo good! We did have to wait to get a table, but we knew that going in to it, so we grabbed a beer and waited! Unique and cozy atmosphere!

What I enjoyed about this place was the burgers. They are unique and very juicy. Yum! The beer battered green beans are simply awesome. My friends enjoyed the deep fried pickles. I don't care much for pickles, but they said they were fantastic. The staff was super friendly. The food came quickly. What I didn't care for was the crowded conditions. We had a thirty minute wait. However, I guess what this says about this place is that it's worth waiting for. Most of the people I talked to there had been there more than once. Overall, I say...Visit this place! Enjoy the burgers and try the batter fried green beans! It's worth the wait!!
