This is a fantastic place to bring YOUNG children. the kids we were with were 1 and 3 and it's hard to find places that can accomadate the younger toddler/infant age range. The environment is great for learning, the displays are safe, interesting and entertaining. Every week we go it's a little different. At $5.50 a person it can get a little spendy. Typically i'm not expecting to pay for kids under 2 but you pay for everyone unless under 1. We just purchased the annual pass and can use it in St.Paul or Mankato I believe as well.

Different areas set up for children to explore, use their imagination and learn. We love it, changes often and the staff is patient and kind.

good to have it in a small town but too pricey for the limited amount of space/exhibits. I would drive to the cities instead

Although small, there are a variety of activities and it is a good option for young children. Nice, pleasant staff.

The children's museum of Minnesota in Rochester is a good addition to this community. The exhibits are always rotating, so there is always something new and different. The admission prices are very reasonable and you can purchase an annual membership which will get you admission into the museum in the cities as well. The one thing always available that we do at every single visit - face painting :) Great staff that is extremely friendly and interactive with the children. This is a small facility, but dont let the size fool you. One level, mostly in one giant room means all of my kids can go to their desired activity and I can see them all.
