The trail from the visitor's center takes you out to the falls and you can climb steps up to the top. Great photo ops. Be sure to go in the visitor's center for the video about the area and carving demonstrations.

The falls were beautiful. We imagined what it might be like to take a shower in those waters. The colors out there in September are amazing. Greens to golds to burnt sienna. White-tail deer everywhere and birds of all sorts.

Located in Pipestone National Monument Winnewissa Falls is a picture of perfect beauty. While not overly large the falls have all the charm of any lasrge falls in the state. The walk leading to the falls is very picturesque and quite lovely. Well worth the trip to see the falls.

Beautiful & peaceful. One of the few places in the USA that material for Peace Pipes come from. Can also purchase locally made American Indian artifacts.

Not huge, but very pretty. Worth the short walk on a nice path to view. Feels very special to be in this area with it's historical significance

Cute little water falls. Very pretty. The pathway takes one above and below the falls providing one with many photo opportunities.

I had no idea there was a waterfall at Pipestone National Monument and it took my breath away. The rushing water and the deep red stone gives it a unique character. I would like to come back and sit all day on the rock at the top of the falls and watch the water flow and the visitors marvel.
