tough and challenging but worth the play, the trees were all starting to turn color and it was lovely

My wife and I golfed here together and found the course to be in excellent shape. The greens rolled true, and the course was very challenging, but not punishing. Highly recommend to anyone. The staff (especially our starter Charlie) was extremely friendly!

Great course, in perfect shape. the Pines, and Deacon's Lodge are the best of the best. Though The Classic and The Preserve are right up there too. When at The Pines, ask for a lesson with Ben. He has such great interpersonal skills that someone really ought to snatch him up and hire him as a manager, or director of golf, or something. Really great.

Well kept course - scenic - challenging as well. Nicely run and friendly staff. Kind of pricey and because it's part of a resort, it's just always so busy! We hate slow play, and with the amount of people on there, it can get borderline frustrating sometimes.

This course was in great shape and is one of my favorites. Our group has golfed here for the last 14 years.

A few holes have been tweaked recently and I enjoyed the subtle changes. Course is always in great shape but this August seemed particularly well maintained. Great clubhouse and attentive service throughout the facility. 3 tracks of 9-holes means you can play multiple times without it feeling old.

We had a very nice three days golfing and enjoying the water. It was such a clean and well kept place. They had a lot of things to do for all ages.

have golfed the Pines on a few occasions. It isn't the best of the Nisswa area courses, but it is reliably good.

I think this was a very well groomed and picturesque golf course, and very professionally run. I would highly recommend it!

3 nine hole courses affiliated with grandview lodge, as are deacon's lodge and the preserve; i like the pines the least of the three; and none measure up to madden's classic. still, a great way to spend a week of golf; and grandview is still a classy place to stay and play

The fare here is predictable but the Reuben is unexpectedly better than most. Ask for the fresh fruit to accompany your sandwich as the grease in the fryer is rarely changed so the fries are usually skanky.

My wife and I played the Pines (Woods 9 to Marsh 9) on 5/22. It was a warm and windy day and I was a bit concerned about the wind before we played but it was not much of a factor as the course winds through the trees that serve as a wind block. The bag guy and check in were quite plesant and quick. The clubhouse has a good assortment of merchandise and was well stocked. The starter was quite friendly and personable and got us started on the right foot. The course is in great shape for this early in the season. It is moderately hilly tree-lined course. You could lose a lot of balls if you do not hit straight but very playable for all skill levels assuming you pick the proper tee box for your skill. The forward tees (Red) were very well placed and fair for shorter hitters. We had a 12:30 tee time and got out at noon and seemed to have the course to to ourselves. It was a great time and would gladly play the Pines again
