Put our boat on the lake to take out of town guests boating. Small lake and you need to boat in one direction but nice and close to home. Not many spaces for a trailered boats so you need to get their early.

Fish lake is a great regional park with lots to offer. There are hike and bike trails, a boat launch, a beach, and a dog park. We let our dog play in the dog park for awhile, and then put it on leash to walk around the paved trails. For biking, these trails also connect up with a much larger network of county trails. You can take a scenic ride all the way to Elm Creek Park to the north.

This is a nice park! Boat Launch is good but busy on weekends. Lots of water skiing and tubing on the weekends. Best for a couple of hours of close by fishing on a weeknight evening.

I love the dog park here, lots of paths to explore, nice seating area, a nice sectioned off area for smaller dogs

Good walking and biking trails. The lake access is clean and inviting. The lake isn't TOO busy. There's a dog part for the pooch. I ride through here on a regular basis, it has a few hills just to make it challenging.

Love this park. It's free unless you want to launch you boat. All you have to do is buy a seasonal boating permit that is good at all the parks in Hennepin County. Also, close to the city, so you don't have to drive far for a day of fun in the sun.

There are many nature trails for both walking and biking in the park. The park building is nice for group events. Children love the playground. There is a supervised boat launch with space for 12 trailers.

Fish Lake Regional Park is a great park that not many people seem to know about (as it is usually not very crowded). It is located off of Bass Lake Road, on the South end of Fish Lake in Maple Grove. The Park has walking/biking trails, a dog park, fishing, a public boat launch, canoe & kayak rentals, picnic tables and a party room that you can rent. The swimming beach is small, very clean and is usually not crowded. The walking and biking trails are really nice as they wind along the lake and through the trees (you feel like you are walking in a forest – not in the city). We saw a couple of deer near the trails on our last visit. The Public boat launch does not appear to be as crowded as some of the other local Parks. I think they only allow 12 boats at a time so you have to wait in a boat line if you are unlucky number 13.My wife and I really enjoy biking and hiking at this park.
