This historic three deck paddlewheeler has been providing tours on Lake Minnetonka for a half-century. The $10 (2013 ticket price) is for the tour only, but those who want can order a $12.50 box lunch separately if they do so at least a day in advance. Snacks and beverages, including beer, wine and spirits can be purchased during the cruise.Captain Terry Jungers who certainly knows Lake Minnetonka lore, tells the stories as the boat passes several points of interest, but leaves breaks in the narration for passengers to visit. However, the sun deck does not have speakers, so sun worshippers will need to at least stand by the stairwell to the deck below to hear the narration, which is what I found myself doing. The addition of top deck speakers would make this cruise an even better part of a visit to the historic town of Excelsior, MN.
