What else could you ask for? The Chisago City Farmers Market is the place to be on Friday afternoons! It is set in beautiful, grassy, tree filled Moberg Park. There is ample parking, including handicapped parking. There is everything to make a Friday great. Live music, free bouncy house for the kids, space to run and play, free kids crafts and tattoos, non-profit booths, locally raised veggies, fruits, meats, cheeses. Maple syrup and honey. Fresh baked breads, cupcakes, toffee, ice cream and wood fired pizza made with organic and local ingredients. Homemade personal care items, jewelry, clothing, pottery, doll clothing. Sometimes there are theme days with themes like wellness, pet care, chili cook off, wine and beer tasting. There are often food samples and wonderful recipes to go along with what is in season. They have cold drinks for sale and a credit card and EBT machine if you forget to bring cash along. We try hard to spend our Friday afternoons here. We have so much fun here. We get to support our local farmers, bakers and crafters. We are also creating community here every time we go. We have made many new and wonderful friends here. If you are in the area I HIGHLY recommend stopping by, doing some shopping and then sit and stay awhile. You never know what surprises may come.

As both a customer and occasional vendor at the Chisago City Farmers Market, I can say it is the fastest-growing, and one of the most lively, famers markets I've ever been to. Over 25 vendors, with anything from fruits and veggies to honey, breads and pastries, snacks, and even seafood and meat, make this the biggest market for at least twenty miles in any direction. There's live music almost every week, along with occasional additional entertainment (last summer there was a dance after the market), which makes this market great for families. Dogs are welcome! The market is also held in a city park rather than a parking lot, making it much more comfortable and pleasant to walk around. Also has a bathroom close by.
