We have visited this wonderful little hideaway on two separate occasions. Both nights we had the pleasure of listening to "Finestra". This 3 piece band provided easy listening music, we enjoyed immensely. We are not wine drinkers, so as the name states, "Wine and Ale", we also had access to a very fine menu of interesting beers. I liked the fact the menu had categories for Light Lagers, Dark Lagers, Brown/Red Ales, Stout/Porter/Black Ales, IPA's, Belgium Wheats, etc, etc. The service was good, the food was over the top. We started the meal with the spinach artichoke dip. I would recommend the chicken breast over rice pilaf with asparagus spears and garlic cream sauce. This establishment is just a hidden gem in downtown Alexandria!
