Beautiful church and congregation. All denominations are welcome which lends to a very comforting experience every Sunday.

I think the one comment I heard over and over again from people who were visiting the St. John's Episcopal Church was how it looked like a picture post card sitting right in front of us. I loved the views of the church from so many different locations around Portsmouth, but to be standing right in front of it at night is my favorite. It is definitely a must see site if you are in Portsmouth.

Wow, this place has a history that was surprisingly educational. If you're in the area, spend some time inside the Church and walk the grounds...you'll be enlightened by what you see and who's attended services in it's hallowed grounds.

Tour guides were very friendly. Did not go to the top of the steeple. History of the place and pictures were very interesting. Church is beautiful.

and this church really seems to reach out to the community. Great sermon, and very welcoming congregation. We are looking for a local church, and this is high on our list so far.

I have attended several services, which were beautiful. There are many, many historical artifacts dating as far back as the 1700's. It feels a little strange to "review" a church, but from an historical standpoint, if you are visiting Portsmouth, I would definitely make a point of at least walking by and looking in.

We relocated to the area and now we have our church. REV. Susan has a great feel at home feeling and she makes us feel at home the first day we went.
