East Hill Farm was an amazing weekend. We visited during the "Winter Back In Time" weekend where there were plenty of fun activities such as an ice cutting demonstration from the pond using an augur and and old hand saw, bread making, starting a fire with a wood bow and spindle, contradancing, and much more. The animals at the farm are awesome and you can pet the horses, donkeys, sheet, goats, and even pick a few eggs from the chicken coop to take home! The food at the meals was plentiful and delicious. We ended up skating on the pond right on the property for hours throughout the weekend. There are plenty of hiking/cross country ski trails nearby with beautiful views of Mt. Monadnock (which is only a 5 minute drive away if you wish to hike it) and other great scenery.Definitely worth a visit!!

What a terrific "find" that we happened upon when looking for a fun and authentic place to take our 9-year old granddaughter. Since we live in Florida and she lives in NH, we wanted to spend a long weekend with her that was kid-friendly, hands on, and away from the frenetic pace of our usual lives. This was just the ticket! From the minute we arrived, the three of us had great fun together collecting chicken eggs, feeding the goats and pigs, and milking a cow! A wagon ride to collect our Halloween pumpkins, a bonfire for s'mores, super magician show, and square-dancing to live fiddle music were among the many fun ways we shared as a family. Food was plentiful and delicious, staff so helpful and friendly, clean spacious rooms, and a outdoor tour/talk by owner Farmer Dave about the history of the farm was part of this memorable experience. Many families return year after year to meet up with others who do the same. A magical place...from kids to grandparents and everyone in between!

My review of the Inn at East Hill Farm was mistakenly changed to the Inn at East Hampton, which one of the members messaged me. My review was for the Inn at East Hill Farm and it is a great place to vacation.

What a fun day! We didn't stay in their Inn, but came to see Santa, the animals and have a buffet luncheon. There were people there spending an entire week, probably cuddled by the fireplace or riding the horses.Perfect for the kids! This day was for Santa, but they offer riding lessons, bunny petting, goat feeding and lots and lots of games for the children....we didn't see any child unhappy! This farm is 10 miles South of Keene in the Monadnock region and about 1 1/2 hours from downtown Boston. There are also special weekend adventures for adults offered, go to their web site.

Seems like there is something for everyone. Beautiful scenery, access to animals, swimming and other activities for children, peaceful sitting rooms with fireplace and endless supply of coffee, hot chocolate and cookies for grown ups, and delicious, abundant smorgasbord for lunch. Best $20 per person we've spent in a very long time.
