Midweek skiing in March was outstanding. This winter's snow meant that we were skiing in 45 degree temps yet they still had all 54 trails open, all 5 chair lifts going, and plenty of base snow. There were very few people there, which meant no waiting in lines. I'm sure that's different during the peak season on weekends or holidays. We bought special tickets on Liftopia which made it very affordable. Family of 5, two days with a couple of equipment rentals for $265. The food is not cheap but the portions are large so it's reasonable. Very family friendly with a variety of trails for all abilities. Free bag storage is great, so bring whatever you want, including your own food/drink.

IF YOU PLAN ON TUBING HERE, READ THIS FIRSTI had great expectations for this place after asking many friends where the best place was to take my family tubing in NH. Most recommended Gunstock, so I forked over the $88 bucks for a two hour session for the four of us. What their site neglects to tell you is that they will sell up to 150 tickets for each two hour block. Long story short, my parents drove 5 hours from maine to tube with us, we got to do 4 (FOUR!) runs the entire time and the rest was spent waiting in line while people's kids wrestled each other in the snow. I contacted the mountain about my dissatisfaction with the crowded nature of their tubing run, and they offered me a single tubing comp pass--for such a large resort, that was pretty weak. Why in the world would I want to go there again?? Not to mention we live too far away to frequent that mountain. I wanted a refund, and after contacting them twice more, the "Tubing Hill Supervisor" never responded again. Looks like I'm eating that $88 bucks, plus the gas money from driving 2 hours round trip from central NH and my parents 10 hours round trip from ME.Do yourself a favor...if you are not going during the week, pick another mountain. The weekends are too crowded and that's a lot of money to just stand around.

Did tubing one day, and used the Nordic trails for snowshoeing the next day. We all had fun, but the cost adds up pretty quickly. We've been there in the summer and winter and find the staff friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

This was our first visit to Gunstock. The staff here is amazing and lucky for us the skiing conditions were amazing too. The have a bag check for free....you can check in and out your bag as often as needed. They have a ski check for free....great little extra's at no extra cost.We were four adults and 3 teenage boys. We can't wait to go back again.

The hills were good, not great. If we went down 4 all together we would go all the way to the end, otherwise we stopped early and had to walk a hundred feet or so to get to the exit.

Me and my kids enjoyed this trip very much. The mountains were great. One thing was that the bunny slope was like going on no hill so we went on the beginners slope which was to advanced for my kids. The staff there was very nice. We wanted to go longer than we had planned so I asked the lady and she just said sure go ahead. They had a nice food too. I would recommend this place over any place to ski.

Luckily New Hampshire has been getting a ton of snow, so the conditions were great. We skied on a Friday mid-day and then the next day. Saturday was very crowded. It took on average approximately 15 to 20 minutes to get on the high-speed quad lift. Great place to ski, but if you go on a Saturday with younger kids (mine are 9 and 13) I suggest prepping them about the wait times before you get there. I kept telling my 9-year-old son to go with the flow! My son and daughter loved all the sideline off-trails and small jumps. All-and-all, it was a fun two days of skiing! Also, it's a very pretty place.

The most amazing skiing for beginners to experts. Treated like a long lost brother after 6 ears away from Gunstock The trails are fantastic and the new equipment is top quality.

Glad we decided to go here in the end! After reading other reviews about smelly toilets, horrible food and icy trails, we were a bit dubious but got discounted tickets online! Firstly, the views are spectacular! The trails had an adequate amount of snow to cover the majority of ice and were nicely groomed.I used 2 different sets of toilets and neither of which smelled bad!We didn't try the food so can't comment on that! There was a free bag check facility. The staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful.Did I mention the views?!!The only negative for me was that some of the trails seemed to be graded incorrectly, but I'll know for next time :-)

First of all, this is a great place to go. We went for tubing on MLK day. We went to the tubing and there was a group of eight of us. I noticed a employee that was very friendly and nice to everyone coming down the hill. His name was Cam. He always asked if everyone was having fun, he just seemed to enjoy his job. On the other hand, there was an employee named Spencer who had quite the attitude. Spencer was one of those employees who certainly thinks he has a lot of power and control. Now, I wouldn't let this stop you from going, however, this employee is not doing this facility any favors. I later found out he was the manager of the tubing area, however, his customer service skills are severely lacking. Overall it was a good day and the other employees that we encountered made up for this one area. I would hate to be the employees that had to work for this guy. Other areas that I wanted to note, food is very expensive, so be prepared. But grandkids did have a blast.

Much of the lower mountain closed for racing..Phelps and Smith trails mostly ice balls..Newer skiers are hesitant on such trails..I thought it was fine. Off the summit Gunsmoke was empty and fast. Snow cover on stepper sections won`t last this busy weekend. When you make snow let it cure in piles for a few days, then push it out and groom, No ice balls..Stockade lodge was packed with racers eating out of coolers. No seating and no lunch for us the paying customers...

Don't have any other mountains to compare it to, never skied before. Brought my daughter here skiing for first time. We arrived late afternoon 4:00 we took lessons for 3 days we had different instructors each day we were there which were all very nice. Did good on the first day made it off the kiddie slope lol...I forget my instructors name but she was great. Second day didn't make to much progress didn't learn much. By the third day I was much more confident with what I was doing thanks to my instructor Dan M. he was fantastic!!!! Prefer skiing later in the afternoon a lot of people early in the day which means a lot of people like myself who really don't know what there doing. Will definitely be back this season sooner than I planned I checked out of my hotel and forgot to load my suit case in the trunk of my car hahaha.......

My daughter skied for the first time at 5....the instructors were great and she loved it. Thanks gunstock!

This ski resort has a high-speed quad taking you to the top of the mountain -- always a good start. We skied mostly blue runs. The resort did a good job maintaining the surface, considering the weather. It was icy in spots but overall I really liked the run configuration. We did not use the ski shop or any of the food options. We stayed in the area for a week, skiing other areas as well, and Gunstock, while enjoyable, got a little boring by the end of the third day.

I place the blame on me. It's only 12/20, so there's not enough snow for proper skiing. We got here at 5 pm and did 2 icy runs. The trails in the front of the mountain had almost no snow cover. Just ice. Came in and had something to eat. 2 more runs on the left side of the mountain. A little better near the bottom. I'm inside now listening to a very attractive young woman playing guitar and singing to the 6 of us in the lodge. I'm going to let her know she was the best part of my night!
