Mark was a great teacher. He was a wonderful listener on the phone when we first chatted, helped me get clear on what I wanted, and then we had a great day on the river. In just a short time I learned a lot, and am not equipped with a bunch of technique and knowledge. I have been back to work on what he taught me, and can't wait to fish more. I would recommend that anyone interested in fishing with any skill level call for a lesson or an adventure. You will not be disappointed.

New to fly fishing I was greeted with a whole parcours of drills on land to immerse me into the physics and mechanics. Mark was extremely well organized and is a very experienced teacher. I am currently thinking of employing his instruction again and would strongly recommend his service to anyone interested.

While on a short visit to NH, I searched for fly fishing opportunities for my son, who is learning and loving the sport. I discovered Mark - right nearby - and he was super about getting back to me and making plans for a morning of fishing for my 22 year old son. Mark made the day an easy-going, positive lesson for my son, who had a perfect time outdoors, in the river, embracing all that is fly fishing. Mark takes a somewhat different approach to his guide business, working on a donation model and focusing more on teaching and education, Conservation and preservation,a long with the art of fly fishing. The catching part is quite the same - but you won't find fancy equipment or chase stocking tracks with mark. I hate to say it because of the connotation of the word, But it's a more holistic approach to fishing on his guide (this is my experience) - he is all custom to your needs. Though I don't think the goal is to fill the creel as fast as possible. He does a lot for the local community and teaches a lot of kids and people with disabilities as well. I plan on taking a trip to Argentina someday with mark where I assume the hardcore fisherman comes out - what's great about his trips to South America is an immersion Into both the waters and the culture.
