I love Carter Hill Orchard. I used to go to Gould Hill in Hopkinton but this is closer for me and they have great apples with a 'snap'. We go here not just for apple picking, we get peaches during season and we get the baked goods. Great all around for pumpkins and squash selection. Go to Carter Hill.. worth the drive and the scenery it spectacular.

Excellent for pick-your-own apples, and their huge farm store has just about everything... pre-picked fruit, local made products, souvenirs, and baked goods! They had just finished batches of home made apple cider donuts (the fragrance was heavenly!) and within 1/2 hour all had been sold! There is an observation tower for viewing some really gorgeous scenery. The day I was there, some people from a conservation society were photographing, counting, and doing research on raptors in the area.Enjoyed my visit, and recommend it for all ages.

in addition to having an assortment of apple types to pick there is a well stocked retail store with many fresh baked goods, decorating items, pre-picked apples and other fresh fruits & veggies. they give kids rides in the back of a hay wagon and have a viewing stand with binoculars to enhance the great views, well worth the trip anywhere within an hour of Concord

At Carter Hill Orchard, you can combine apple picking with watching the hawk migration. A great hilltop location with a viewing platform and live presentations. We walked some of the trails around the farm too. Took a wrong turn and ended up on a linear trail that connects with NH Audubon on Silk Farm Road. Didn't hike that far! but came out on a road and did not know where we were so we stopped at a farmhouse and ended up walking back by the road. Not as enjoyable as the planned walk in the woods. Partly our own fault not being familiar with the trails and there being no maps available on this busy weekend. We'll know better next time. Plan to make it an annual event.

I have been going here for years. Great place to pick Apples, hike or bird watch. The apples are outstanding! !!

This is a great orchard perched high on a hill. Has a wonderful view 360 degrees. Lots of great varieties of apples and a farm store with lots of goodies. Great walking trails and set up for xcountry skiing in the winter. There is an observation tower. Birders use the observation tower to county raptors during their migration periods. Always during the designated time there are Audubon folks there to observe and dispense helpful info.
